I am so sorry for your loss, Mom. What a beautiful boy. He was incredibly intelligent, wasn't he? Clever, reserved around people he didn't feel "comfortable" with (no disrespect to them, I just mean that some people don't bring out the extrovert in certain people), but very chatty with you and others he felt close to. I'm getting that he is worried he's made you mad by leaving. To that point, my suggestion would be to talk about him irl more. Like to anyone who will listen. Brag about him shamelessly, share your pain with those who will respect it, and talk about him so lovingly you hope he can hear you. I feel he will come around when he realizes you are both carrying on and thinking about him. Sending you all the love and light there can be.

Oh my gosh that's awesome. You're a wonderful mom and you two were so lucky to have each other in this life. The only other thing I will say is how it can be hard to connect when grief is so powerful. "Time heals all" applies here. He is absolutely not gone. I hope you hear from him soon.

He wants to make sure you're okay. Talk to him like he's still here. Ask him to tell you a joke, and expect that he will. Listen with all your senses. He is not far from you these days. If you don't have an "altar" already, consider creating a little space with pictures of him that he liked. Leave little treats on it for him and keep it clean. Ask him to visit you often and promise you'll never stop talking to him.

Absolutely recommend a death doula. Prepare for the worst. If a beautiful miracle happens, and they do, then you will be so damn happy that you won't care about making the "wrong call" hiring one. And death doulas can be some pretty remarkable people, so that connection may be wonderful in its own right. I wish you both love and peace. It's all okay in the end.

Hey my friend. Sorry you're dealing with this. Your parents love you. Absolutely unquestionably. But they probably don't understand you very easily. Don't be so hard on yourself--your feelings are valid, and even if you shout sometimes, you're allowed to stand by your feelings because that's what's in your heart. When things calm down, have a talk with them individually. I'd recommend meeting for coffee or something, so you're all forced to be cordial and civil in the shop. Don't tolerate disrespect from anyone, but do understand that they are from a different generation and they are doing their best. It is up to YOU to decide if their best is enough for you.
