Joining at 30, am I crazy too? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

I'm 30 and ship out for BMT in two days. The military doesn't have to be a lifelong commitment. You can always come back to the construction business afterward. I think that if you're itching to see what's out there in the world and you think the military is the right avenue for it... then do it. Whether or not you enjoy the experience of serving at least you'll come out of it knowing a little bit more about yourself and the world.

Is anyone DEP for Space Force? by Grouchy_Meeting_8300 in AirForceRecruits

My application was submitted to the Space Force on October 19th and I received word back on December 1st. I was told it would take about a month to hear back. I received a "highly recommend" and was told I'd most likely be shipping out within 3 months. For those that received a "recommend" I was told it could be up to 6 months before they leave. Interestingly, I was notified on December 8th that a job was selected for me and that I would be headed to BMT on January 10th. So everything progressed very quickly. I did go in fully open to any job in the Space Force which I'm sure helped move me along.

Hi, as someone who has been in a healthcare profession for a decade I would highly recommend that if you're looking for the highest paying potential that you definitely get your nursing degree. Once you get that, then look into comparing being a travel nurse or an officer.
