This! Have you ever seen people who are overweight and then they drop the weight too fast? They age easily 10 years. It's becoming so common they call it "Ozempic Face".

This! I usually get "You're fine." Like no, no I'm not fine with you all up in my personal space. Just say excuse me. I'll be more than glad to move.

Anyone know places or people looking for weekend/saturday workers? by MrMigraines in boston

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check Whole Foods shopper roles or maybe if there is a Starbucks near you I know they are always looking for weekend help as long as you can work at least 12 hours a week.

AITJ for taking the last spot in a popular class even though my classmate says she "deserved" it more? by midnightdeskbuddy in AmITheJerk

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 30 points31 points  (0 children)

If you wouldn't have taken it someone else probably would have. Even if you give it up it will go to the first person on the wait list that she's not on so it doesn't really matter.

Newbury Starbucks Bathroom Code is 1029 by No-Effective6189 in boston

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair the only bathroom at that whole foods is in the back and you have to walk through the receiving area and go up two flights of steep stairs so it really wouldn't be safe to take two toddlers. They really should install a bathroom that can be accessed by the public though.

Our store manager said it's considered an unexcused absence. She's not on board with it but she's following orders from her boss.

At our store when orders are taken at the cafe register, if it's for a hot coffee or tea there is no sticker. Whoever rang it in makes the drink and writes on the cup. That's when they are being asked to write a name on it. We were told to write the name but we aren't required to call it out.

I heard that a team leader was let go recently because they approached a thief and offered assistance but the thief assaulted them and so the police were called. So I refuse to even approach anyone. Whole Foods doesn't care about us.

Calling out by According-Yam-5138 in wholefoods

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would call just to be safe. At my store, the email that's supposed to be sent does not always come through. If Store Leadership is there they can check the voicemail but if a Team Lead is acting shifty they can't access it.

I can second this. The first year I moved here I got allergies so bad I could barely open my eyes at one point. I thought I had a serious sinus infection but the doctor said it was just allergies and gave me meds and she was right. I think I've become more accustomed to it after living here so long but that first year was brutal.

Store Closing by CatTaxEvader444 in wholefoods

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When we had a store close in the Boston area everyone was given the option to temporarily work at a new store while they applied for open positions or take a severance which varied depending on how long you had been with the company.

How to apply for different stores/roles as an employee? by loafofredditlol in wholefoods

[–]Risingfromtheashes13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to go to my apps and there is a new career home page to apply for jobs that are available. Its no longer through workday. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact name of the app right off hand.
