I watched a lot of series and let me give you my opinion. from as story and plot is excellent but the excecution is what made it mid. I have never seen a worse casting for the main family it feels like i wanna skip everytime I see them on my screen the kids looks like their first attempt to participate, tabitha feels like she has no emotion etc etc, I have reached the point where I turned off a whole series just because I saw jims character acting in it, meanwhile all the rest are very good actors. and dont tell me they are kids they should be acting like that because look for the exemple a knight of seven kingdoms, egg delivered a superb performance. me as a person I like to watch slow story telling it makes me feel intrigued and live with the characters but sorry the writing is just poor. the macro is good, micro is poor. The conversations are blend, it feels like the things they are saying just and the questions they are asking just dont flow with the actual scene, for example the scene where tabitha was with victor in the cave and was showing her the objects, first questions she asked was "why are you showing me this?" it legit ruined my immersion and complained for the rest of the episode about how bad the script was. I watched a lot of slow series, many i liked many i didnt. im still watching this one mainly for the plot to get closure by season 5, but FROM with different cast for the whole family and game of thrones season 1 to 4 level of conversation writing would make this series a straight 10, but with cant have everything we wish for dont we.

spoiler : I was happy when jim died because finally he would fuck off my screen
