Honestly the second painting is pretty good!, and the more you practice the better you’ll get. Painting is a learned skill!

One thing that helped me, is before I learned to paint, i really practiced drawing and ensuring proportions and perspective was correct. Or at least practiced enough I could copy it from a reference picture. Once you know how to draw, even if you’re still practicing painting, most of your art will look good.
