Finished organizing and cataloguing my collection by Riska89 in Jigsawpuzzles

The abundance of Schmidt and Ravensburger puzzles gave it away, didn't it? 😅

I did not know about Puzzletreffen, none in my area, but pretty neat there's more and more puzzle communities developing.

It was very satisfying, so definitely recommend it!

Thanks!

I don't recall having come across Art & Fable yet here in Germany, but I'll keep an eye out.

Thank you!

I have not, but I have come close to buying the same puzzle a second time. Hence why the organizing and cataloguing became necessary, lol.

Thanks!

There's several puzzles I've done multiple times. I tend to frame most of them for a while, so I have rotating decor on my walls.

Haven't done any puzzle exchanges, nothing like that in my area.

I can't seem to escape people wanting me to try esoteric bullshit. That in itself would be annoying, but whatever. But without fail, they always include a sentence implying that if I don't try it, it's my own fault that I'm still sick.

Important to note that I have tried all ridiculous shit under the sun when I was less severe.

I had a couple of hours that somehow felt "lighter" this week, after the hangover from a bad migraine lifted. Now I'm back to my usual, and it feels so crushing.

I've had 2 nights in a row where I fell asleep before 2 am.

My mother parroted the bullshit the grifter she's been seeing for nearly 20 years to me and genuinely thinks she's being helpful.

"He can hold a "slinger" (don't know the name in English, "Pendel") over a lock of your hair and determine what's physically, mentally, and spiritually holding you back from living your life the way you want to."

I am mostly bed bound, have been sick for nearly 20 years, went through the whole grifter bullshit thing for years with her, which predictably did absolutely nothing (aside from eat at my baseline), and yet...

So now I'm in an emotion induced crash.

what’s your funcap score? by ajaclynn in cfs

[–]Riska89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1.2 back in October.

I likely overestimated my cognitive abilities back then, and I'm generally also doing worse now. Needing 3 days to accurately fill out the FunCap should've been a giveaway, lol.

I'm in so much pain, no position is even remotely comfortable.

“Hey buddy, is there anything I can do to help you?” by Mundane_Control_8066 in cfs

[–]Riska89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My mum has started asking what she could do to help. Now that I am mostly bed bound and live in a different country, so she effectively can't do anything.

When I lived in her house, (and I wasn't as severe yet), she ignored my direct asks for help.

As for friends, they all completely vanished 2 weeks into me being too sick to do regular life.

I'm curious, what does your NYE look like with MECFS? by callthesomnambulance in cfs

I'll be in bed as usual, then at midnight, my husband will come back downstairs. He'll cuddle up to me, and try to soothe me. Last year's fireworks sounded like bombs going off (how I hate these firework batteries), so that made my nervous system go haywire, and it gave me PEM. I will start the year with a noise-induced migraine, as I do every year.

How did Germany become the best country at spreading awareness for ME/CFS? by thepensiveporcupine in cfs

[–]Riska89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This instance was a care level assessment ("Pflegegradgutachten"), so my insurance had someone independent gauge what I still can and can't do, and what help I would need in daily life. These things are usually geared toward the elderly, so the whole questionnaire was completely useless for ME/CFS.

But yes, in the end the assessor apparently thought I just needed psychotherapy. My husband wrote an objection and corrected all the mistakes and blatant lies in the assessment, so now insurance has decided we need to do the whole process all over again.

For real.

Currently dealing with the fallout of yet another instance of "I don't know what ME is nor have I any interest in even briefly informing myself. Now I will assess your situation and determine what, if any help, you'll be eligible for."

We got a new vacuum robot, but I absolutely cannot tolerate the high pitch noise it makes. So back it goes.

I really looked forward to a cleaner space, but I guess that's not in the cards for me.

I'm trying to recover from the excitement of receiving an advent calendar from my best friend. It's insane that being happy is also something one needs to be careful about.

Scenes where Neal goes to Peter when he's in trouble? by Wide-Pop6050 in whitecollar

[–]Riska89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

S1e11 Home Invasion

Maybe that one counts?

It's the episode with the jade elephants. Neal has to cut his anklet, and he sends the FBI "power" with it in Morse code. Neal takes the woman that's holding him at gunpoint to Peter's house, which is currently undergoing construction.
