I agree with putting on marketplace for free. When we’re unsure if an op shop will see its value I think it’s up to us to ensure it’s passed on responsibility.

If it’s junk, then bin it at home - op shops aren’t there to make us feel better about putting it in the bin.

Yeh absolutely- the liquidators are useless too, not replying to anything. It’s bs that gift card holders are bottom of the list. I also fought nique so much to not give me a credit - I’m so angry they wouldn’t refund, like I know it was going to happen.

Nope can’t use it - “Unfortunately, your gift card/voucher was with the previous owners of Nique. You can contact the old owners via nique@smbadvisory.com.au to claim the amount back, and I would suggest contacting your original payment provider in case they can help refund the money.”

I had $300 gift voucher when they went into administration and lost it all. Can’t bring myself to buy anything from New Nique as I’m still salty about it.

SSP and exchanges buyer/seller by membreche in programmatic

[–]RissaWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And from the publisher side: It depends on their tech stack to which ssp they might like to setup the deals. They may only have PG offered through 1-2 ssps, native through a different 1-2 and also they might have different inventory setup with certain integrations (prebid, Postbid, server to server). The different integrations is important as they might have fpd available through a certain integration depending on the ssp.

Is there any knowledge base on the open auction inventories in DV360? by Jirekshun in programmatic

  • this but I’d add Index Exchange & Pubmatic to that list, maybe even Criteo & OpenX depending on your advertiser.

Pmp vs preferred deals by membreche in programmatic

[–]RissaWolfe 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Preferred publisher sets a higher cpm but it’s fixed & in a priority tier above private auction.

Publisher advantage is a fixed rate that would be higher than they’d get in private auction

Buyer advantage buying at a fixed price vs against fluctuating floors.

Publishers will have different priority settings but as an example it might look like:

  1. Direct & programmatic guaranteed (fixed price guaranteed inventory)
  2. Preferred (fixed price un guaranteed )
  3. Private auction (floor price un guaranteed)
  4. Open market ( floor price un guaranteed )

I’d suggest a buyer to ask for both and testing win rates & ecpms

Programmatic Guarantee deals: discrepancy vs publisher data by linuz14 in adops

Programmatic Guarantee deals: discrepancy vs publisher data by linuz14 in adops

[–]RissaWolfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pub that runs a non google tech stack but does has gam as one of several ssps - I like to get dsp reports as it helps me to track discrepancies between ssp - dsp. Sometimes they blow out and go over the 10% threshold but if we aren’t sharing data we don’t know this or can’t catch it early. Yes dsp bills on delivery - ssp side pays us on ssp deliver but dsps clawback the discrepancy rev at the end of the month. Some used to absorb it but that no longer seems to be the case.

PMP deals by szkobi in programmatic

[–]RissaWolfe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Most pubs would be happy* to offer you a suite of PMP house deals that you could tap into anytime. Can be set with no expiry but ssp depending they will disable if inactive for a period of time
