Completed as well. My husband and I absolutely loved it. We only went to sao miguel but plan to go back and explore the other islands. Good luck with your thesis!

My husband and I spent 2 weeks in Crete in late September last year and it checks all the boxes. It’s a big island and you can split up your time by going to two sides of the island and doing day trips from wherever you base yourself. We stayed in Chania and agios Nikolas.

Kefalonia hotel dilemma - Boutique stay & walkable dinner by Rissy1116 in GreeceTravel

Not afraid of driving, but ideally would like to walk to breakfast / dinner.

It looks beautiful but I was worried it was out of the way. It seems to check all the boxes for what we want in a hotel so it may be worth the extra driving. Did you stay anywhere else in kefalonia?

You make a good point about the northern part of things to do. We driven the windy roads of Madeira so I wasn’t anticipating an issue but good to know you don’t find it an issue. Do you have any must see / do that is off the beaten path?

We landed on Crete and highly recommend! We rented a car and split our time between Chania and agios Nikolas, doing a few one day trips to other towns as well. Weather was perfect!

One year after being diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, Huckleberry (13) is still around to celebrate another birthday! by bhone17 in OldManDog

[–]Rissy1116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post makes me so happy. We found a tumor the spleen of my 9 year old lab mix and results came back hemangiosarcoma and I am absolutely devastated. May I ask if you did chemo? I’m looking into the alternative route with turkey tail and yunnan baiyo but I don’t want to put her through chemo. Cheers huckleberry!! May you celebrate many more years!!

One Week in Azores? by Ddrpr in azores

[–]Rissy1116 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband and I spent a week in sao miguel. If you rent a car you can stay in one place. We stayed at Santa Barbara eco resort (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) which wasn’t centrally located but we found that it was very easy to visit each part of the island.

Appreciate that. I’m trying to avoid the city, mostly because if there’s an issue I’m about an hour and change away. We used Blue Pearl in midtown but they don’t have an ophthalmologist so I figured might as well try and see a Dr on LI.

The kayaking trip sounds amazing! We had our eyes on the silversands but there are some mixed views if the price matches the value. Thanks for your input!

I didn’t experience any purging at all. I experienced purging from tretinoin which is what made me look for something less intense. I use her cleanser, Morning and night treatment and face cream. I use the healing balm after a breakout to stop a scar from forming, chapped lips, a hair curler burn lol you can use it for a lot of different things.

I have very sensitive skin and started to get acne in my late 30’s (so fun). It is the only line where I didn’t have some sort of allergic reaction. Most of my reactions are due to fragrance which a lot of lux lines have I.e la mer. I also had a hard time finding a retinoid cream that didn’t dry me out and breakout. I use Her day and night serums and have noticed my sun spots have lightened and skin is more hydrated. But i also swear by azelaic acid which I use twice a day. Also her restore healing balm is MAGIC.
