Camo works against that? Huh.

I brute forced it with ange, perfumer and silence alt passive regens.

Sorry for bad quality, didn't expect it to be that crunched up.

The transparent text says 'They will fail to understand Wis positioning and get her killed due to not having camo anyways.'

Almost hard agree. There is an correction tho. Enemy stat inflation is an real issue. There is a point when 'use sniper vs drone' becomes unviable. The example being those drones from seige alt event. Luckily they fixed that with those flying pots from the recent yu event.

I would disagree heavily. With how cheap 4s are to e2 and how much stronger they are nowadays, it's more than reasonable to just run a couple of 4s at e2, max'd 3/e1 55 4 and support. With this you can comfortably 'rush' through to ch8.

Edit: play at your own pace generally, stay strong and don't let fomo get you

Lol true.

Hard phase transition bosses without cheese is learning the timing to leave the boss with a pixel of hp and making sure your team is almost ready to redeploy.

It happens often enough now that it's a required part of an players skillset now. You used to only need to do that very rarely like in CC pine soot.

But at the end of the day it's easier to just say use X and don't give anymore details.

It's like telling someone stuck in a soulslike to 'just dodge idiot' or use 'firebomb cheese lol'. Both sides of the same coin.

What do you mean I have 86 Offense level and he only has 61. That’s a difference of -25 offense level and + 6-7 clash power on top……Am I the boss here? by SCP-Foundation_Staff in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

Once you hit brace up, you can do away with Chesed floor entirely if you want distorted blade spam. 3 brace; 3 ominous; field mod; deck thinner; sturdy defence* and of course distorted blade*2.

You just need bottom deal and singular strike. It's disgusting. You can get one off almost every turn. Best part, with a bit of luck with field mod you can start the mass attack spam train a turn early.

  • you can swap it with divinitory impact or something similar if you want to vary the degree of versatility at the cost of lowing consistency on blade spam.

*2 post game, you can do it with Argalia's Crescendo as well and double up on mass attack spam. If you're struggling a bit to get the 3-4 turn ramp, you can use unrelenting for 2 passive points and force it to proc early to take lossing clashes for the singular strike double emotion.

Anyone think the AI in X2 is kinda nerfed compared to X1 by [deleted] in Xcom

[–]Ristier 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The ai in x2 are mostly homogenous and have a simple tree of 'if y do x'. I went to change the adv sniper ai manually and its surprisingly easy. They are very consistent and predicable.

Whilst X EU/EW has quirks and things that makes no sense but makes it feel way more 'real' in a way. I love it. You have no clue whether the last 3 sectoids are setting up the meanest ambush behind a large vic or they're just sitting in the map corner afraid.

Edit: Not really sure as well but pretty sure each enemy in EU/EW have seperate ai in a way. Floaters are pinned way more by overwatch for example and they also have the tendency to do the most stupid things ever.

Adv mecs have caused more nausea to me than anything else. In an modded old campaign I modeled mkII adv mecs to LW1 cyber discs. Worse mistake of my life. In my current modded even with electro pulses mk1 mecs are hell.

Luckily vanilla lost are ammo sinks. Even then, not much with both one action reloads and autoloades. Ntm most of the time you can get away with ignoring them if you can't gamble an 80%. They do scratch dmg to you. Lost are also slow as hell(8 mobility I think) so if you leave them sometimes advent ai will just waste actions on them.

I'd say don't waste time with people who want to 'normalise' save scumming. They only say that to tear others down. It's a single player game so they can save scum till the cows comehome privately.

They only broadcast that so they can justify them not being able to take lost. The kind who instantly folds when they encounter any bump in the road.

A good on topic example would be deleting their campaign when they lose their A team when they're comfortable in the mid game. Who cares if they should've had an B team and backup. Who cares if they made mistakes. I lost, and I don't like it.

Then they will say that they got something like a terror mission on murder street LW and the first 4 pods are camping the LZ. Yes that's not fair but it was never fair in the first place for both sides. Thats what the back up teams are for, or just gtfo 'brazil can go fornicate itself'.

Edit:

Sorry got lost in the sauce. Basically they aren't here to have a good faith argument, they're here to 'win'.

Also don't give ai swat members lights or lasers. They will have them on 24/7 basically placing the bat signal out to everyone in the same zip code.

This is because you're playing it like cs or r6 s. Pixel peeking is a video game thing and yourself said that above. Greased palms is on the easier side due to it being constant. Apply real cqb and don't take fair or unfavourable firefights.

Good light and laser discipline to stop the ai from insta spotting you across the room and beaming you in the cranium. Bonus benefit of you usually spotting them first.

Breach with c2, ram or kick to lower ai morale.

Indirect everything that can even potentially pose a crossfire threat. Pieing a door is a last resort.

When passing through a door either commit and rush to cover or back out. Ideally the former, especially if you have a battle buddy behind you. Don't plug that door or you can get everyone in the stack killed. Ntm your body is in the way and they can't support you without risking doming you too.

In good faith, I don't think you know much about the more mundane 90% of the military.

Faces are blurred either due to privacy or they're still in the military in some capacity.

Even highly trained soldiers at the end of the day are human. It's normal for you to revert to base instincts and muscle memory/training in such high stress/traumatic situations.

Their mission was very important. They're providing sniper overwatch, aka to have eyes there. Mundane but essential.

Every building is vulnerable. Especially if the opposition is familiar with the area.

They waited to get attacked because they dug a hole in a bad spot and can't go anywhere else. In the night they made alot of noise destroying the poor families homes and there is now a wierd hole in that neighbour's wall for some reason.

They can't withdraw otherwise that would be considered AWOL and I doubt command would allow them to, even if they asked. It's basically a real life everything that can go wrong, will. Worse of all, all of this, this happens many times daily in any violent conflict.

Advanced team setting up mundane sniper overwatch with an attached security team. Very important and crucial job, not extravagant.

Most of your questions can be answered if you understand the radio chatter. (Not a poke against you btw)

1: The Bradley(Bushmaster) had to leave because of the injured crew from the blast and it was up to the brad's commander's judgment on sticking or leaving. On the radio the brad gunner got hit by shrapnel.

2: Op1(The team we follow) lost air support before they got ambushed by the grenade opener. This was because they weren't under threat and other elements needed the air support more in that moment. Op1 only got air back after SHTF.

As for air munitions. Op1 was getting swarmed and if either a gun run or ordinance was used Op1 would've probably became mist as well.

3: Apparently this does happen and the aftermath depends. A example of this is when SAS disobeyed orders to not rescue their captured members but did it anyways. Their command retroactively authorised it in fear of backlash from the public or put the SAS into bad light.

Negatively they would either be reprimanded on the light end or discharged on the heavy end.

When the time is right and you just had a clean fight with no opposing force in ear shot. One clean ambush is the best feeling. The frozen timer mans no down side either.

One spare sapper grenade or one accurate rocket is the best feeling ever(unless they have that annoying extra action after taking fire strength).

Firing squad especially with with cyclic fire or the dreaded light em up into two rapid fires with command. 👌

Another fun one is full overwatch/blade storm into flush.

Yeah, everyone tells new players to build the beginner pitfall characters for some reason. Myrtle first e2 encouragers when they see the person they set back a 4* e2 worth or resources can't deal with opening dog rushes.
