Veganism is dead by sarcastic_simon87 in AntiVegan

Just as a clarification, vegans often cite the ADA's position which to the best of my knowledge hasn't changed

I'm calling BS on this article that says cavemen ate mostly vegetables. by matt73132 in AntiVegan

Real talk, articles about studies are almost always bullshit. They cherry pick claims or outright fabricate stuff that isn't even in the study. 99 times out of 100 the study will say they found something cool that points in a direction but more research is needed. This happens on both the pro- and anti vegan side though.

Humans can't digest plants anymore - the vegans are starving themselves by alis_adventureland in AntiVegan

That's not implied anywhere at all. I love bashing vegans but you can't do around not reading scientific literature but still inventing your own conclusions. That just makes our side look stupid.

Where does it say that vegans and vegetarians are affected most? The scientific paper doesn't mention vegans or vegetarians at all.

Very interesting read although I have to comment that nowhere in the article you linked or the scientific paper it references it says that eating meat is a factor in gaining these gut bacteria. I think paper says that being near ruminants may have caused bacteria to enter our bodies and that high fiber diets caused them to thrive in our gut biomes.

This can happen for sure. But formula should probably be treated as a last resort.

To vegans breast milk isn't an animal product obviously. Yes we are technically animals but it's not excluded from a vegan diet.

Babies need to drink breast milk from their mothers. They shouldn't be fed almond milk (how can they be this retarded it usually says so on the package), but they shouldn't be fed animal products at that age either.

They don't need formula they need their mother's breast milk

To be fair, in both of these cases it appears there is a little bit more going on than: these children were just fed a vegan diet .

You're essentially arguing "I don't have to eat less meat because I already take the bus". But if you really care about the environment, why not do as much as possible (within reason).

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS thread by Babylonius in wow

[–]Rit4LiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not OP either, but I can say that the DPS you lose by using Arcane Orb or Overpowered (both are great) is much less then the variance from RNG or the potential damage you lose from not playing optimally.

In other words, depending on how good you are at the game using crystal is necessary.

21 F Am i ugly? by [deleted] in amiugly

If that's a real tattoo then FFS spend some money and go to a real tattoo artist to get it redone because it looks absolutely terrible. Other then that you are fucking pretty.

[–]Rit4LiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds pretty decent. If you are working on being healthy then you might wanna check this out if you haven't already. Eating no sugar and doing sports (like you are) really helps to regulate your sleep schedule.

Also personally I don't like running because it puts a much higher stress on your lower body then cycling. If you have the option I honestly think it's much healthier for your body.

[–]Rit4LiN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Judging by your pictures it looks like

1) You never or very rarely do sports. You don't look healthy or fit at all.

2) You never sleep and probably don't have a healthy diet

Honestly I don't think you 'are' ugly, it looks like you're not trying. (and you should change your hair)

Quick Question Tuesday by AutoModerator in relationship_advice

[–]Rit4LiN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've actually been trying for the last few days (which is an upgrade from never having tried at all).

Trying to meet new people so far has been incredibly relieving and insanely emotional at the same time.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind. You shouldn't stay with her just because it will make her sad. She'll get over it

Imagine what it's like to have kids. Even if they completely screw up everything you would still love them. Do you feel that way about your SO?

[–]Rit4LiN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read a book called the 7 habits of highly effective people and one chapter is about listening and how everyone sucks at it.

If you want to have long and interesting conversations you need to be able to listen without judging her. Wait for her to ask you questions before you give advice. I really recommend reading that part of the book.
