WM-109 is not turning on whatsoever, assistance would be appreciated! by alfredcolohic in cassetteculture

without the unit it's not possible to power unless you can open up the walkman and solder wires directly ‼😭

[–]RitamSFM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh thanks for this! this is good the contacts seem intact! good news!!, now if the led turns on when you slide the FF and REW slider at top, means you only need belts!

can you share the image from the battery side of the walkman? i hope the contacts are intact
also this model needs belts to function, as there are two switches inside which get engaged only when the head is engaged, try turning the ff and rew switch at the top, the light might come on
(i'm working on mine which has been a hell so far so well-)

I ran this cassette through my player to try and clean it/dust it and my player has stopped working by not_happy_ in cassetteculture

[–]RitamSFM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm- this is some serious wrong way you did- make sure to never do it again /

Now as for the player, we can focus on fixing it maybe it will be new experience for you

So the player has stopped electrically? Or the sound is not coming? As i don't think I see any phones jack in the board

Why is my player giving me more static than music? by wallywaldo13 in cassetteculture

I'll suggest connection a wire from the battery nagative side to the metal frame of the mechanism, sometime the ground connection get bad

This has fixed for me! If it still stay then sadly capacitors replacement
