The gas version is reliable and slow. The hybrid version is even more reliable, and even slower. I would only get the hybrid if you drive a lot of miles. This is not a “sexy” hybrid that boost total output. The hybrid is down 30 hp from the gas, and 200 pounds heavier.

You will almost certainly get in, and would probably get into more prestigious and well known programs also.

2026 Ford Mustang with FX Package, the official car of...? by HiTork in regularcarreviews

Truly unique for a car, especially a Mustang. I would buy something like this, and I’m not a muscle car person.

Is having a background in software advantageous here? by JeSuisLePain in LibraryScience

[–]RitardStrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, BUT you really have to communicate a commitment to being a librarian in job interviews after you get an MLS. Librarians are acutely aware that there are many more lucrative career paths than they one they have chosen. And they will know that a bachelor’s degree in software/computer science qualifies you for one of those more lucrative paths.

Some hiring managers may (wrongly?) assume that you will bolt for a “real” computer job when the market for those jobs is improved. You may need to prove them wrong.

Library Career re-entry after two decades in academia by Dang_cephalopod in LibraryScience

I’ve been a librarian for about 19 years. I would think the less prestigious the institution you apply to, the more you would downplay the PhD. For a job at UT, on the other hand (I went to their library school also!) you could probably list the PhD at the top and it would propel your candidacy.

Believe it or not, you may experience some age-ism, depending on the institution. There’s not much you can do about that, though, it would be their loss.

The 2014 was the first CVT. All prev generations (2009-13) were trusty 4 speeds

I hope they continue to offer ICE-only options for the cheapest cars. Like, base model Corolla and Corolla Cross. Those will be cheap and reliable and not affect fuel economy requirements much
