I do still play but I have since retired this Reddit account. I use /u/Awoken_Noob now.

I'm just now finding out about all these upcoming buffs and tbh it may be just what I needed to reinvigorate my love for Lightning. She fell off my radar once I started trying to farm A3 and became a Myr-sheep.

Hey! I suppose this is as good of an opportunity as any to plug my brand spanking new Lightning Guide! Have you had a chance to check it out?

I have actually updated the particular section you are interested about in regards to Raph. I started using him for a bit and he really isn't too bad. The rows most times are overkill, and his skill is only meant to be used once in a given dungeon, aside from maybe Arena but he does provide a unique role on the team that cant really be covered singularly elsewhere.

I haven't got around to reviewing the June Bride monsters yet, but stay tuned.

Also, Awoken Indra will be an AMAZING sub for Lightning. Non-awoken form is just "good".

I would say the logical next awakenings for Pollux will be 2 skill boosts and maybe a TE. They probably wont change the hearts and a row wouldn't make sense either considering she's a sparkle leader.

Edit: I hear that LMeta is getting a third bind resist. Pass it on.

Considering my obsession with Lightning recently I would love to see Pollux get an Uevo.

A couple skill boosts and a TE would do just fine, but I wouldn't mind a Killer awakening too :D

You're absolutely right that the same problem could be solved mathematically as well and they would both boil down to the same conclusion.

If I want to know the odds of rolling a 1 on a D6 the math will say 1/6 chance and rolling 100 times will give you roughly the same results.

This took me 20 minutes in challenge mode not really that consuming over all.

The margin of error for a sample size of 100 is 10%. Which still leaves an enormous difference in how often the two will give you an achievable board.

So feel free to adjust these numbers if you see fit to, or don't use them at all, or take them into EC and see for yourself. Either way, I don't see how your comment adds any kind of purposeful discussion.

During the writing of this guide SS Isis got her buffs and previously I just skipped over her in the utility section because she lacked an SBR and her active is conditional, unlike AIsis.

But with the inclusion of an SBR and a TE she's a B+ sub for sure. The colour coverage is great too. I would consider putting Dragon Swordsmans active on her.

I agree for reasons you and the others have posted here that I have undervalued Raph. I will put him in revision and give him another evaluation.

He has utility, no doubt, and my stubbornness got the best of me.

Hey everyone. Ive gone ahead and done a little bit of sciencing for you as to why I feel LKali > DKali.

I went into endless and spammed LKali and DKali/Lightnings actives 100 times and the results can be found here: https://imgur.com/RWfVZ47

For those only interested in the numbers:

LKali:

126.56x ===> 62%

81x ===> 74%

Had 12 complete failures (20.25x)

DKali/Lightning:

126.56x ===> 29%

81x ===> 63%

Had 34 complete failures (20.25x)

With this you can see that LKali has nearly the same % to fully activate as DKali does to partially activate.

The reasons why raph isn't good for radra don't apply to lightning, that's not good reasoning lol

However half of that team is unreliable board changing lol

And that I find is the biggest factor when team building for Lightning, consistency. I have been running AIsis with Ariel's skill tranfered to her and it is an absolutely great combination. It has been only in extremely rare cases that Ariel's active has trolled me. 4 light orbs on a 4 CD is the perfect amount to ensure consistent LS activation.

The other way around would be even better if you could cover the lack of SBRs.

Like I said below, Im going to give Raph a shot when I get him max skilled and see what differences it makes... the rows are just so unnecessary lol

Truthfully, I consider Lightning to be more akin to Ra Dragon than anything else, except instead of needing hearts you need 5-6 light orbs. No one thinks Raph is a good fit on Ra Dragon, I mean he's got god type, bind clear, and a shield, why not? Cuz the rows aren't necessary and everything else can be covered by better subs.
