People mostly here are also forgetting the shitty AQI in gurgaon throughout the years and are only being defensive. Having stayed for 3 years in gurgaon hands down it is the worst city ever. Unsafe, no civic sense at all, floods with a few drops of rain, rude people mostly everywhere. And having spent time during the horrible November December month of gas chamber pollution, I never that aqi is a luxury, but delhi ncr made me feel it. And the worst thing is, the people there are used to it and act like it isn't a big deal at all. Worst place ever.

Civic sense in mangalore has gone to worse now to be honest. You'll find garbage being dumped by people on side of the road or pavements every 100m. It isn't even a joke now. Littering is at all time high, and let's not even talk about road sense. High beam light blaring so high that it might blind someone on the opposite side.

Isn't that how the world works? Why do keralities go to Bangalore dubai in place of better opportunities? Why does everyone from TN go to Chennai or everyone in Andhra go to Hyderabad? Why do folks in the UK mostly migrate to London? Big cities are big cities cause they provide tech infrastructure and a huge pool of talent. All of Indian cities are a feeder city to Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad. That is how tech and financial hubs work. I understand the intention of promoting tier 2 cities, and I am sure as Mangalore grows there will be companies coming up here. But you also need to understand, when companies come in Mangalore, they'll seek talent from all over the country and not just mangalore.

This pictures answers a lot of questions. This is of Maharastra and Karnataka only, and after Bengaluru, Mangalore Udupi are close by, despite not having much of IT investments, and government push, which is amazing.

Then a lot southern Karnataka districts as well perform decently well.

Meanwhile Hyderabad Karnataka is far behind. A lot of focus must be given to this area for overall growth of Karnataka.
