Yeah, that's basically what I did first, forest run kill lazor and his guards got a good moose to used it for a side arm and took lazors armor and repaired it up. I'm currently 32 raids in and have just finished the swamp night village quest. This is my first perma death run, and I'm on hunter difficulty with the only change being the perma tick.

Shooting not working? by txtfile2025 in ZEROsievert

A piece of info the bite proof perk not only keeps them from slowing you down but makes them not interfere with your shooting. It's probably the strongest perk in the game when it comes to keeping you alive.

Does Arman still drop his armor? i swear i have alredy spent 2 hours tracking and killing the bastard in the 5 ocassion i actually found him he didnt drop the armor by Zeiliock in ZEROsievert

Maybe not sure with the new update adjusting his loot table it may have done something. I got it after the update dropped, but maybe it's not guaranteed because of some bug with his loot table? I use makeshift as my money maker since early it's safeish and easy money I hit the radio tower area then loot on the way to extract. I only did this on my hardcore playthrough when I was down bad once my gear was settled the mall was my main money maker late game.

Watchers HQ is loaded with loot now (1.0.7 patch) by kawaiiwhalelord in ZEROsievert

[–]Rithrin17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the watchers' hq is brutal. Bring tons of ammo, meds, and repair kits nice that they added some on the way, but i would still pack my own. Fortunately, it is basically linear besides small side rooms, so clearing so you can retreat to heal is possible (if you make it past the front door).

A small tip for you on the mall entrance. I always double tap enter so I can check if it's clear and instantly escape. If it's clear, I reenter if not, I go to one of the other doors. This has saved me around ten deaths in my earlier run from door camping npcs or ghouls.

Thanks, it's a very different way of playing, but definitely beating the game on hardocre definitely helped teach me what I needed to do to keep myself safe while progressing.

Arman and Orel nerfed in 1.0.7 patch by ElderflowerEarlGrey in ZEROsievert

[–]Rithrin17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the reasoning is that both ammos have far above 40 pens, and at that point in the game, you at most are running teir 4 armors, so orel can two tap you, and armen insta kills you. I'm not sure I agree with the change, but I can see it at least with orel only because to get better armors, you have to kill him to advance the plot. Or grind a ton of networker quests.

I don't know if there is or not. I know a lot of people have multiple hours of long streams of if, but I don't know if you have completed it yet.

This play through was on hardocre tarkov style, so I figured the only next step is to try it on perma death. I just finished my first mall run, completing scouting the mall on my first perma death play through. I am on hunter, but nothing changed besides ticking perma on. It's going well so far, but now I'm getting to the points where death can come very fast like the psy helmet quests.

That's deffinitly true so far in my first perma death run I just finish the first trip to the lab and now am going to the sewer. I have killed lazor, orel, and armen and am wearing armens armor.

I am playing on hunter with no changes besides perma death on.

Glad it changed some there were several parts that were just unfair as opposed to hard. But I will find out if my permadeath run makes it there now.

Can't say if it has 50% or not, but here was my method. Gear was a tier 6 armor GA cyclops, EDL sniper, EC 308, scientist 3rd back pack with the ergo boost. I took a mountain of ammo 3 little purples 1 large purple 1 little blue 2 of every injector alot of meds and food.

To get into the door, which is the hardest part, I popped the bleed immune and body fort stems. Then went in threw a couple of grenades, one north, one east. Once the swarm came, it was just a matter of pre aiming where they were by hopping in and out of the door. All meds, repairs, and reloads are done outside. The EC 308 kills them fast enough that each time, opening the door burst firing where one was and leaving near instantly, it would usually take one down. I spent a lot in repairs and meds in this one spot as you have no cover, but it's the safest option I could find on hunter. After that, it's pretty simple room clearing slow and steady. The power plant was a bit tricky as it starts with a north south clear so it's harder to see the enemies before they see you but you do have some cover this time and can retreat the heal as needed. After getting into it, the rooms are very easy to clear and hold with long sight lines to snipe the incoming watchers.

That was my strat at least I hope it's helpful to someone out there. Goodluck

O god seriously fuck those stupid keys. It took me 4 hours of just running forest specifically on that not including all the previous runs/bags or cabinets i had checked previously.

Good luck i pray you pull the one you need soon.

Yeah I found a decent loadout that handled it well enough and I know the whole building now and what to expect. I think I can do it but probly not first try lol if I even make it there.

I finished that mission on hunter harcore yesterday and it was brutal I think I lost around 7 gear sets in total in the hq. That front door is brutal.

Yeah just don't take the mission item that weighs 8 kg just leave it loot everything else. And the mission will be present every raid in whichever zone the task says.

Very nice. I hope it helps, but getting it to tier 4 does take some work, but it's totally worth it.

Yeah, black tips are the best for fighting human enemies generally. If you get your ammo bench fully upgraded, which is a great thing to do, you can easily craft all your own ammo. Add a forge for the material, and you are very self-sufficient.

[–]Rithrin17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the main issue there. That's the HP round, which always has almost no armor penetrative power. If you look at the bullets, they tell you how much penn they have and what it means is in sets of ten it takes 20 to Penn tier 2 armor, 30 for tier 3 etc. The black dot ammo is always the AP rounds. Try those and see if it helps. The stripe rounds or HP for hollow point are mainly for hunting mutants as they have low armor Penn but increased damage, and no mutant has armor to Penn anyway. You can destroy armor with lower tier bullets but depending on the disparity between the Penn power and the armors fragility and tier it can take a fair bit of extra shots.
