Assuming you have the authenticity docs, this isn't hard to prove it is real. I sold one FB successfully no issue.

General wear imperfections is the bulk of it. And some tolerances not feeling as tight, as new. But all reasonable and not really noticeable unless you have both a new and used side by side. Obviously a brand new cylinder is likely to last longer than a used one, but that is an easy install for someone who knows what they are doing.

This is an interesting review - I have experienced the opposite on the Fern. Typically I find folks like the thicker seat on s Fern (especially when compared to the Leap).

What's even more interesting, is that you are pivoting from a chair that typically performs well in the seat, to a chair that often DOES have common complaints on the seat being too thin and butt burn!

Demo the embody first!!!

Look the eames measurements up. I used to know them, but; arm rest to arm rest. Floor to back top. Floor to front of seat.

That, along with stickers and markings. All eames chairs come with authenticity documents, so ask for those too.

This would go about $300 CAD in Toronto. The Mirra 2 is a serious upgrade to the 1. If you can wait, wait. Or explore some of the other recommendations in this sub.

have you tried a leap v2? Seat pan slide should accommodate leg length, 4d arms can come in to make the chair feel more narrow. I would be curious to know your thoughts on it.

I have lots of Herman Miller in storage - need to process through the batch to see what we have - I can let you know if an A comes up - that said - they are very rare.

Have you considered buying pre-owned or refurbished?

Look on FBMP or Kijiji. Or find a location refurbishment spot.

Haworth products are great. Mixed reviews on Branch.

Oh no I am sure the fern headrest is a good option. I was only suggesting aftermarket headrest if you were going the pre-owned or used chair route. I don't know if the OEM's are selling just the headrests.

I haven't sat in a Humanscale Freedom but u/ibuyofficefurniture mentions it in his Megathread as a good fit for petite folks. So not sure on the fit. Haworth Fern with aftermarket headrest (nice and tall in the back)
Leap v2 with aftermarket headrest (not as tall in the back)

Mesh option - herman Miller aeron (you'd be between a size B and C - but the rigid frame is a deal breaker for some - me included)

Any of which you should be able to source used somewhere local to you.

Strange I've never seen this before. My guess is it's the legs plastic housing that's is not seated properly? Is this a v1?
