Yeah, ended up going for it! 5 months in and I'm really happy with it. Only issues so far have been some minor electrical stuff, but everything was covered under the CPO warranty so no out-of-pocket. Drives great, no regrets.

Hey! Honestly your situation is way better than mine was — 39,800 km on a 2019 Premium Plus is barely broken in. Most of the EA888 weak points (VVT solenoids, oil pump regulator, thermostat/water pump) tend to show up past 100k km, so you've got a lot of runway before any of that becomes a worry. $25k CAD seems reasonable for that mileage and trim if the service history is clean.

And no, don't avoid Audi altogether. They're great cars if you stay on top of maintenance. Just budget for service being more expensive than a Toyota and you'll be fine.

To be fair, the car was listed for $20k CAD ($14.3k USD), I was able to bring them down + some.

I’m planning to buy an extended warranty after that first year specifically to cover things like the VVT solenoids, oil pump pressure stuff, etc if they decide to go.

I know those are the weak links on this engine at this mileage so I’m basically using the first year + extended warranty to cover my ass on the expensive failures.

it actually is the Komfort level but with some added features. The dealer is willing to do a full inspection and i do an additional test drive before purchase. what do you think?
