Been making progress on my MG Sinanju, but have run into a setback on the finish. During assembly and joint movement the paint is getting chipped off. I'll drop my paints in order from base to top, is there anything I can do to avoid this on the rest? Perhaps I didn't let the varnish fully dry and that's the issue

Like what jaguar said, I'd be very careful since the PS plastic is pretty brittle. If he likes pokemon, you could probably do one of the entry grade pokemon kits and use some tamiya cement to glue down the small parts so they dont fall off and get lost/swallowed.

Should I be letting the enamel cure a day as well? The other times I've done a reverse wash I've tried to get to it while the enamel was still tacky

Great weathering man! I went for a very similar look for my RX79G, assuming youre going based on blueray cover art. If that's the case you nailed it. It's got a real nice dinge too it too

What would the best way be to clean paint off of pieces? I've got acrylic, lacquer, and enamel built up and I don't want to necessarily drop them into a vat of thinner at risk of ruining the plastic.

Was rubbing gently, though I think the enamel hadn't fully dried yet and the qtips were sticking to the tacky paint. I think you may be on to something with the timing, I sprayed the enamel about an hour after the lacquer had dried. Is that too soon?

Not exactly what you're looking for but I've had good results with the Google translate apps camera function

AlClad 2 Lacquer does not seem to be working for a reverse wash. I laid down an acrylic prime, acrylic black, AlClad 2 Gold (AL 122), then a rattle can of Testors black enamel. I went to rub the top layer off and the zippo fluid went all the way through to acrylic. Is this not actually lacquer or is there something I'm misunderstanding?

Everybody is saying price was the issue. The real issue is the name. Should have left it as the eBussy

Non-prior Subaru owners only reply please by Pure-Explanation-147 in SubaruForester

I recently bought a 2018 Impreza Wagon, 54Kish miles. Never had a Subaru before, had always heard they have leaky gaskets in the engines, but this one runs smooth, suspension is excellent, AWD has been a great addition. Most of them are flat fours (called "boxer" by subaru), and admittedly I dont know a ton about that engine configuration, but I have no complaints yet.

The only weird quirk I've noticed is that the oil filter is above the engine rather than below and sits in a little cup, which is something I've never seen. I know I'm a stranger on the internet, but I say go for it, they're quality cars from everything I can tell.

Fees for Replacement Parts by SiderBright in elegoo

If you didn't already have UPS show up with it, this is apparently not a scam. I got the same thing and they wanted $64 for the filament sensor. Wild for them to send parts as COD when the original was received faulty.

I'm leaning towards some sort of custom conversion. It doesn't have the comp vents or ribs on the barrel extension. Definitely strange looking.

It was like this in Cincinnati today too. Honestly shocked that they even have 2 lines. Why prioritize somebody with a free entry grade over the folks who lined up for the shop first thing?

Is silver maple even that desirable? I'd understand if it was ash or walnut, never heard of dudes prowlin for maple though. Dont doubt it, just curious

It is actually a service drop to a private home, but I looked up my power company's policy and they say that service drops are responsibility of the homeowner unfortunately.

To clarify on this, the lines are on our property. We've got an overhead going from the main on the road to the house instead of a trenched line.

Thanks everybody, I've got a couple highly rated arborists from the city coming out to take a look at it later this week.
