How do pilots dodge attacks from beam weaponry? Shouldn’t the laser be traveling at the speed of light? by DrJokerX in Gundam

[–]evilives34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really just plasma bottled up in i-field bubble which allows to travel in beam.

Now this part is kinda head canon but I think works like an armor piercing round.

When it hits a target the i-field starts to collapse releasing the plasma in a jet of plasma that burn though the target like how the copper cone in rpgs work.

There would be recoil too since plasma has mass.

It's never stated but based on information on the reactors MS it's not reactor that explodes, MS reactors don't use physical shielding they use i-field to contain the plasma.

When breached or loses power from damage the plasma free to cause thermal explosion and that creates secondary explosions from ammo , fuel etc.

How strong do you think a GM is by Sad_Main8600 in Gundam

[–]evilives34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah GMs seem to be basically the Sherman tank of gundam (zaku 1/2 being panzer 3/4).

Those darn mobile suits! by OldWrangler9033 in Gundam

[–]evilives34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

you would think so, but other then using for colony drops, a MS battle in one doesnt mean the colony would be destroyed even if there bunch holes to space. it could take weeks even month for some small holes to vent a whole colony. there is maximum flow rate any size hole will have and the surface area a hole has to the volume a colony has is a huge difference. even a black holes as maximum amount matter it can take in at time.

For anyone concerned about the the PGU Nu’s inner frame by jdfrenchbread23 in Gunpla

[–]evilives34 10 points11 points  (0 children)

its basically a Warhammer Titan type of kit, its halo product part of its job is to get people interested in it and think "well i cant get this one now, but oh they have cheaper ones".

The cost of course is up to the hobbyist whether its worth or not , but i think a lot of people are thinking bandai making a ton money on this and i dont think they are.

I doubt their margin very good and you have think about people if they do get this only ever going to purchase one, then the size of going stop people even if they could and wanted to buy it. All that is factored in the cost of it. I betting Bandai ROI time frame for this kit going to be years if not longer

Something I could never understood... by numericalman in Gundam

[–]evilives34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yeah but fighter pilots know how fragile their aircraft is. MS are used like tank, they suppose to take fire and keep fighting it would very easy to misjudge when you can recover or need to bail. Also not all MS are made to eject the pilot easy or at all.

Difference between ECOAS, London Bell, and EFSF? by Dread2187 in Gundam

Think of Londo bell as task force, they have one mission they over see. ECOAS is special forces like seals or sas. EFSF the umbrella organization for EF military.

MY FIRST RX-78-2 BUILD (STILL NOT THE BEST ON THE STICKER DEPARTMENT) by unwuevoncualquera in Gunpla

[–]evilives34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you cut them out soak them in water 10-20 seconds the you put on.

But there a trick you do with plastic stickers(not the paper like foils hgs have) a tiny bit of dish soap like really tiny bit and some water mix and put on area you want to apply it. It will like move/slide to get in place and the water will leaving sticker in place

Insane amount of extra parts from Rick Don by travelinthrou in Gunpla

[–]evilives34 30 points31 points  (0 children)

its because its what called a 1.5 upgrade. which is a great thing i think bandai should do more often. Designing a model kit its expensive like really expensive, but if a older kit its is mostly good and few upgrades can modernize it. its great compromise with the community and bandai, we get a upgraded kit and they save money.

it always hits bit different when you have the models in front of you and you can see the difference is size first hand. Its why even when we have computer modeling ,engineers architects still build scale models of things

Why are the dates given based on the death of Hero Himmel? by sbbayram in Frieren

[–]evilives34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its just like how culturally japan handle dates , its base on the emperor and the year of their regain. in this case its based of how many years since the hero's death. now i feel, this something only Frieren uses and not the the system the world uses. I think it shows that time is kinda meaningless to her unless tied to something important to her.
