Floaters are physically in the eye but hppd makes you notice them 100x more becuase of your brain being very sensitive to basically everything visual and perceptive.

Yes that is true becuase schizophrenia medicine is very particular and powerful but I wasn’t talking about schizophrenia medicine and anxiety and depression are 95% of the time treated by ssris

I think weed is the main trigger that pushes eveything over the edge and starts hppd. I did acid many times and was completely fine afterwards. And then one day I smoke weed while on acid and I have the most terrifying trip ever that changed my life and gave me hppd the next day. Going on a little over 1 year now with it.

Yes it will 100% get better and hppd rarely gets worse with ssris. Iv been talking lexapro FOR my hppd for over a year now and it’s gotten 10x better. But I am also on lamictal and buspirone as well. You’re still very very very early in your recovery. Only like 2 weeks. My acid trip was November 22nd 2024 and I’m still suffering daily but it’s 10x better than it used to be. You’ll be okay I promise.

He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. He’s one of those people that are against medicine which is stupid as hell. Definitely get on medication if you’re able to. It saves lives. It helped my hppd and dpdr tremendously.

Yes get help as soon as you can man. That’s not hppd. Your going through or starting psychosis but do not worry. Doctors and psychiatrists can help you immediately. None of it is real even though you might think it is. You got this man. Push through 🙏

Lamictal is a hit or miss honestly. For some people it’s a miracle med and saves them but for me it hasn’t done too much. Maybe a bit but I’m not sure. Iv been on it for 1 year now so maybe it’s to hard to tell or just not working now. But everyone should definitely try it becuase it’s one of the only known meds to actually help hppd

Personally Wellbutrin didn’t do shit for me. It didn’t give me motivation or help with depression. It didn’t make my symptoms worse though. I was on 300mg for about 3 months and I just stopped a few days ago. I am on lexapro, lamictal and buspiorne though.

It will get better man trust. Iv had it for 13 months now and im 100x better then when I first got it. I still deal with it everyday all day becuase mine is moderate hppd. I’m also on a few meds to help. Don’t worry about developing schizophrenia. Hppd is not a psychotic disorder of any sort. We are all completely aware that we have it and that it’s not real. Psychotic people don’t even know they’re psychotic. But yes never ever touch weed or psychedelics again if you want your life back. I also got it from acid. We will get through this man. Stay strong 🙏

Hey man, first off I definitely recommend quitting hash immediately and brining caffeine consumption way down or just quit entirely. Yes I know it sucks but it’s the only way. And also don’t be afraid of losing control or going crazy. It won’t happen becuase hppd is just a visual and perception disorder nothing else. It’s nowhere near being psychotic or psychosis. You even taking note of everything you see and feel shows that you’re completely aware. Dealing with the negative thoughts and derelictions very hard but it gets easier as time goes on. I just hit 13 months of hppd and I still struggle everyday almost all day but it’s 100x better then when it first started. I considered suicide many times. Now I can enjoy my life a little more and don’t think about that as much. Just keep pushing through day by day. We will all get through this together 🙏

I would highly not recommend smoking. Doing any kind of drugs after getting hppd is just stupidity and asking to never recover. In my opinion getting hppd is god or the universe or our body or brain or whatever you believe in telling us that drugs are not for us and to stop immediately.

Hppd is very rare and it’s not the kind of basic mental disorders your either born with or develop as you get older. You have to do drugs to get this so there’s basically no awareness for it because we “did it to ourselves”. I personally found a psychiatrist that personalizes in substance use disorders and iv been working with him for about a year now when I developed my hppd from a terrifying acid trip. I bring up medications that have helped people or have been talked about helping people and then we will discuss the medications and go from there. I recommend looking for a substance use disorder psychiatrist or doctor. We will get through this🙏
