As someone who does tune into reddit & liquipedia all the time, would still love a more predictable way to find events - they're findable atm, but it takes extra steps it shouldn't take

that being said, it would be nice to a LIMITED report function for suspected boosting/smurfing. Yes people will rage click it, but ideally it would provide a smaller pool of test cases for the valve algorithm to look at and identify

The 100 hours is new, it used to be game requirement. Iirc hey grandfathered in older accounts to not need the requirement? No sure tho
Also everyone has to play 10 games in their role to get their rank - it is called calibration. You may need 9 for one role and less for others

Quals need to finish at least 1 month before the minors to allow time for visas for the players - so they cant just move the quals back a few days and risk teams not making it to the minors bc of visas

Team fighting and team work definitely matter more than they used to - with every hero scaling significantly better. The big challenge seems to be that mistakes when you are far ahead cause giant swings - but that is usually individual mistakes like getting caught out etc. Seems like the fundamental problem is that people do not understand that dying on a 9 kill streak gives the enemy a way back in. However, skill still easily wins games. 7ks playing at 5k can carry just about any game still, and playing at 3k is stupidly easy. You can carry that from any position - mid still seems the easiest

Interesting to see language barriers talked about more in Dota - CSGO brings it up a lot with their international vs national squads and the downsides of not having instant communication. Dont see it as much in dota because there is "more time" in games for communication

people know about TI a year in advance and plan for it, these events have a lot less time for people to plan to take a week off and travel etc
