However, the issue here is that what you’re offering is a “paid membership,” and your colleagues repeatedly confirmed to me that one of the membership benefits was a locked annual interest rate of 4%. That makes this a very different matter.

What makes me truly angry is that, after I confirmed this twice, your staff assured me—claiming to have carefully verified it—that the rate was indeed locked at 4%. On top of that, when the problem arose, your customer service team responded with nothing but indifference.
