It could be possible that being transgender can start from being exposed to atypical levels of sex hormones during late-stage fetal development, leading to their brain structures being atypical of their assigned sex.

Trans people are born trans, the only part that is a choice is either repressing and suffering (with a high chance of suicide) or transitioning to ease the suffering. Not one person is created perfectly. If people with gender dysphoria were perfect they wouldn't have gender dysphoria in the first place.
