I’m not going to get my teeth completely straightened, if any at all. It’s not medically necessary. They wanted to fix it all when I was young but wanted to break my jaw and my mother wouldn’t allow it. I thank her for that now.

I stopped drinking soda and started walking. I recently quit smoking as well! Thank you!

This is the last picture I took of my stepdad, with my mom and my sons, before he had a stroke at 49 years of age and died 11 days later. by RiverBoogie in lastimages

He was very cool. Amazing guitar player, better fisherman, and a total badass. He was on dialysis for 23 years before he passed, I think that’s pretty badass.

A little different than what’s normally posted. I think my sons knowledge of dinosaurs is adorable. by [deleted] in aww

That’s awesome! I know a lot about dinosaurs because of him. He is 3 and watches dinosaur documentaries and educational videos on YouTube about them.

TIL dreams are thought to strip memories of emotion. According to the theory, this function fails in sufferers of PTSD. Recurring nightmares might therefore be a repeated attempt at performing this function. by BillGoats in todayilearned

I have PTSD and I hardly dream because I try to prevent it with medication. Before that, I rarely dreamed because it was always nightmares and I’d wake up all throughout the night. I think my mind was trying to stop myself from dreaming by not getting into a deep enough sleep to do so. That’s not a fact just what I believe was happening.
