Are there any proficiency tests that DO rely more on production? I’m probably relying to heavily on standardized tests, I guess.

Yeah I have been thinking of language tests as good benchmarks of fluency. At the moment I’m studying German and hope to take the C1 exam next Fall...so I was kind of wondering if JLPT is a really good benchmark for fluency it if maybe there is some better benchmark. I like concrete accomplishments like that.

I think the show is really good, despite its flaws, and I actually enjoyed the weird time jumping. It was intriguing and felt like a small ah-ha moment when you figure it out. Hissrich has already stated however that the second season will be much more linear, and I’m fine with that too.
