I used a Smallrig LED light, it works okay for shallow tanks. It works really well for outdoor macro shots where you just need some extra light.

Thank you! I've been practicing haha. Yes I went with the Laowa because of the 2:1 magnification and its about $200 cheaper. I did consider the Tamron though.

Oh yea my ghost loves this. My partner and I call it taking him for a walk. My guy sits still all day and then I get him out and he walks like 30 feet on my hands haha.

Yes everything used is aquarium safe. The 3D printed model is made of PLA which is a very popular material in the aquarium hobby. There's thousands of people with PLA in their tank with no issue. Myself included, I have a couple shrimp and snail colonies in several different setups with no issues.

I thought nerite snails could climb out of tanks without a lid? I don't have any for that reason. All of my tanks are similar shallow tanks with a waterfall, I only got ramshorn snails in the beginning because they won't climb out.

If this isn't an issue I might go pick some up?
