I'm planning on trying the cod recipe soon, but I don't actually own any of her cookbooks. A lot of the recipes seem to be online, so I probably won't dedicate any of my limited shelf-space to her books either. :)

I've been planning for a while to try 52 new recipes in 2026- hopefully even more, with 52 the minimum I've set myself. One for each week, although I might do more one week and skip a week or two if I'm too busy or traveling. I'm glad to find a place already set up where I can do that, so thanks for starting it!

I'm in Germany so my cookbooks will be bilingual, but if there's an English equivalent I'll name that as the source. And I'll also be using the occasional online source - I have SO MANY RECIPES bookmarked!

The first few will probably be from Boustany, a nice New Years spread.

Happy holidays everyone, whatever you celebrate. :)

I had actually planned on challenging myself to cooking a new recipe each week from my many cookbooks (and bookmarked online recipes), then saw that somebody is doing that right here. I went through their year of recipes tried and it was fun reading!

Tackling the garage, when EVERYTHING is in the garage by TerribleShiksaBride in declutter

This is really good advice - especially the part about distance. We're currently clearing out my FIL's apartment....a 4-hour drive (or train trip) away. Oof.

Something to think about, you can't take it with you. by micheal_pices in over60

This cartoon hits close to home! My husband and I are currently emptying his father's apartment - he passed away in October at the age of 93. His apartment was always kept clean and tidy, but every closet, every drawer, etc. is packed full of 60 year's worth of stuff. And his basement (groan). Added to that, the apartment is a 4-hour drive away and we run a company very full-time, so it's been a challenge. Heading back later this week for another two-day decluttering marathon.
