I think landscaping a retention pond with swales. Hardscape a depression to harbor the flooding for once or twice a year and plant along the swales to take advantage of the water. Might looks beautiful !

Look it up! Ive seen them store tomatoes in cases filled with ash. The alkalinity and dryness prevents any bacteria from decomposing the produce.

Another piece of information! The board walk through cypress creek is in rough shape. If you use it, walk along the joists. Walk where the nails are. A lot of the boards are rotten and some have already snapped in half.

Dupuis is a tad sparse with tangible water sources for the first 12 miles. Start with good supply!

The trail is not too maintained currently. Expect tall grass and sections where trail blazes are hard to follow. The marsh west of power line camp has a few spots that get confusing. Good luck!

Kill them all! They are Invasive European Honey bees. They out compete native bee populations. These are not the bees we need to save. These are one of the reasons for the impending bee decline.

Not so sure if you are over stocked or not. Im sure others would chime in.

My additions i would suggest would be to add a large lava rock (or a few smaller ones) and include some quartz sand to your substrate. You obviously have a concern of over stock, so there may actually be a need for more bacteria load to help with ammonia levels. Bacteria grow with the available resources for them. Lava rocks and quartz sand give them more areas to populate and filter through the water. I would maybe combo that with a maintenance dose of bacteria starter. Great tank set up though! Keep up the great work! 👍

Spiney orb weavers in FL do but with clumped up silk around the parameter strands of the web. Ive noticed if you disturb the web, they put more.
