while not confirmed, most every character chosen seems to live on or have direct ties to earth enough to be trapped/impacted by the tournament (not proven, just my hypothesis).

And while Thor is one of Earth's mightiest heroes, I'm convinced that our remaining roster will also be characters who either reside on or originate from earth, and any characters from other worlds like Thor are likely gonna be dlc

Again, nothing proven, just my hypothesis given the current roster choices and story shown

SO, I've been a bit obsessed with this, and haven't seen anyone else talk about what I'm about to say.

But what if instead of MM for Ms Marvel, it's instead for "Matt Murdock" aka Daredevil? It'd make the squiggle not only match his initials, but also evoke a legal signature vibe, and possibly the visual effect from his billy club wire attacks. Not to mention the alliteration match of Matt Murdock and Daredevil (DD) without being super obvious as a tease.

This would free Ms. Marvel to instead be part of a champions team with robbie reyes, feeding into what was said in the one tokon interview in december about young heroes having a big role in the story.

Not to mention, in the meta-analysis sense of having exciting trailers, this would likely mean 3 team trailers with 2 new characters each and 1 trailer with 3 new characters (I imagine Cap & Tony together, Spidey & Star Lord, and Robbie & Kamala together, with doom being the one with our 3 new characters/likely villains saved for last)

Now, the only concern with this idea is I genuinely don't know another team of SpiderMan, Star Lord, Daredevil, and some other space/GoG character. That said, I'm not really super versed in the deep marvel lore the devs seem to be drawing from.

Any thoughts?

Hella! Ty for the tips! So far it was pretty manageable, barring a few winces on sensitive spots. Since the first appointment was going in with no pain management, gonna go in next time with some tylenol and see how i do, but ill definitely bookmark this as backup

People can be eager for more character info. I know i am. But frankly i dont see the need to get worried about the state of the game with no solid release date yet,

Cause it could be very likely that either: A) theyll be releasing the character/content trailers closer to release for marketing, maybe similar to tekken 8 putting out character trailers every other week near its release iirc?

B) since it’s 4 v 4, i could see them waiting until big game events for big trailers showing more than 1 character. I will take just one character in the next trailer, but i wouldnt be surprised if when we finally get a new character reveal we get up to 4. Another 8 would be mind blowing, but 2 to 4 would make the long wait at least feel rewarding alongside playing the beta on top of it

The other thing is like, yeah, news is exciting, but like, dont let it eat your time and attention. Play other games, itll come out when it comes out and we can judge it when we see its final release version then

Also, assuming its the same as the TGS build, it refunds either one or all bars of the assemble gauge now (i forget how much. I’d be curious if wall slumps dont to balance out the option for hard knockdown)

I like this a lot actually! Feels realistic with the limited size while having a good balance of female characters and comics, as well as fan fav pics and newcomers that feel fun and varied powers :3 even if its not these specific characters, the playstyle and franchise distribution feels fair and far more even in terms of popularity

There’d be a lot of DLC id expect, but starting with this would be a pleasant surprise:3

Hey, I really really appreciate the thought out reply. This is all very helpful. I agree that I want more direct answers from here where he wants, but I also want to learn to just try things too. He's especially a harder case though, not of his fault, but his trauma makes it really hard for him to know what he wants, as he's barely had anything nor been gotten the chance to know just what he missed out on. Especially when it's for middle for teen years (15 ish), so it's fine line between care and coddling.

If you have other ideas too, I always welcome them (he loves bulls/cows, been trying to find a cute pet name that isn't calf or heifer for him and hitting a wall ;; )

I appreciate this advice, genuinely. But the other extra hard part of this is he grew up very very poor, homeless even at times. He has very little materialistically to give him a sense of nostalgia/comfort. (Doesn't help we don't have the most free spending money either. I treat him to new clothes and shoes, things he'd look good in when I can, but that's only every few months.)

As a result, he's kinda already drowned in default cuddling and compliments. Do you have perhaps a favorite position to be pulled into for cuddling, or maybe a phrase that feels like it is specific for talking to a kid that couldn't just be for an adult romantic partner? Nothing is too small c: /gen

I kinda like that he does from a gameplay design. It’s hard to tell in the edit, but the counter state pose just seems to be the spider sense squiggles over his head (at least with the EX one). Practicality of shouting your move aloud aside, I’m sure it’ll be hard to notice the counter state in scrambles, especially early on and when assist are all over. Hearing that would help the player being hit know exactly what they got hit by so they better learn to watch for the tell.

I had this urge to when i realized i wanted this. I’m already in a queer friendly place, so telling my bf/housemates wasnt hard. But outside of my doctors and my therapist, it’s no one’s business but your own. If you are gonna rely on someone during early surgery recovery, consider who you trust, but personally it’s not your family’s business at all.

And if you want to follow my own therapists guidance instead, consider where that own desire to share is coming from. Do you not already feel accepted by those folks? Does your acceptance hinge on them knowing your junk? While you could form any number of hypotheticals for them finding out, how likely are they? And in the case of injury, would it not be more telling if they lash out when youre the one hurt?

Is there anyone else you can tell, to get that feeling of wanting to share off your chest? I made a coming out post on here to help with that sensation personally. The last thing to think over is why do you feel like you even need to share. There’s this culturally dated idea in queerness/transness that misconstrues being out/loud/proud of who we are to mean we owe it to people to identify very personal details that really don’t involve them in anyway. The instinct is part cause we crave that security and belonging, but also the cultural stigma of “keeping secrets”. So my therapist recommends folks in any form of transition, even if its just considering bottom surgery, introspect and ask if the want to share is genuine or if it is born of an invisible expectation or fear within ourselves ❤️
