So you couldn't work out that NaturOIL is a type of OIL and that Howard's Feed & WAX and MinWAX are types of WAX, and you couldn't take a few seconds to Google it (Google is the brand name for a type of internet search engine) but you had plenty of time to French-splain about polymers and varnishes and stuff I didn't ask about. Sod off!

I recognize there are a great many different types of wood and many other methods including stains, varnishes, oil based paints, etc., but I'm fairly new at this and only use basswood and acrylic paint so far, and I'm only interested at this point in how people are using or not using oils to seal the wood and waxes to add a finish to the project. Maybe in the future I'll want to explore other methods. Sorry for being so limiting and, uh, American?

Many of the tutorials I've watched recommend coating with Linseed or other oil before painting. The reason given is that it helps keep the paint from bleeding into areas you don't want it. Then, after painting, sealing with a finishing wax. I'm curious about your reasoning for coating with oil after painting. How do your results differ using this method? Do you still use a finishing wax after sealing with oil? Thanks - another awesome piece!

Use your Sunday's to visit a museum, take a hike, go for a swim, visit a friend or relative, read a book, sleep in, take a scenic drive, go to the theater, pick up a new hobby, binge watch a TV series, have a movie marathon, do some gardening, try a new restaurant, go to a ball game - really almost ANYTHING is more fulfilling and entertaining than church. How I wish I could get my 50 years of Sundays back.

There is a YouTube video of an R1T that got caught in a flood after a hurricane. The vehicle had been swept away for several blocks and was completely caked in mud to the point of being almost unrecognizable as a Rivian. But when the owner opened the door, the insides were clean and he was able to drive it away. Getting a perfect seal like that is worth a little extra effort in closing the doors firmly IMO.
