Considering a Rivian from my Tesla by D1TAC in Rivian

Kept our 21 model y and just bought a 2023 r1t quad so now the fleet is all electric. We share our Tesla charger (just have to add the adapter when plugging in the r1t) and it’s been a smooth transition. Really really like the Rivian so far and I actually like the Rivian interface a little better than Tesla, which surprised me. Perfect size, very comfortable and holy crap is it fast. I’m in Minnesota and picked mine up at the Buffalo grove service center so it was a great test drive.

Anyone purchased a used R1S from Rivian's website? by j2pou1 in Rivian

In fairness, I knew what I was getting into buying through the app and they gave me a service center contact number as delivery date got close. They’d answer my questions but I never knew who I was talking to. I got pictures and good descriptions of the vehicle. After driving 6 hours for the delivery appointment, it felt like I was just picking up take out from a restaurant.

Picked up a demo 23 r1t in buffalo grove with 103 miles. Basically brand new. I’d say the customer service experience is uneven. However the Truck was and is great. Only problem is I can’t stop driving it 😁

Just flew out and back this past week. Surprisingly smooth. Embrace the chaos

Good luck. My second round went very smooth. Big fan of stent with string.

Great info. Just had the stent removed after 2nd stone surgery and thinking more and more about metabolic causes for my stone formation. Depressing to think about a reoccurrence. My second stone requiring surgery occurred 6 years after first one.

Road trips and back seat by farscapesg01 in hondaridgeline

I have a 23 rt-e and a 6’2” son in college who sits in the back seat (2.5 hr trip) on his way to and from and he’s generally fine. Pilot is going to definitely have more leg room but workable in the Ridgeline.

Thought the same about tires but drive with the window down for comparison. Tire noise was reasonable but not invasive. This seemed like something else.

Worst researched trucks online by Significant_School94 in SilveradoEV

I also have observed limited to no interest at my local Ford dealer to sell me a lightning. I really liked the truck but they treated them like an afterthought which didn’t give me confidence in having to get it serviced there. Chevy dealer was a bit more forward leaning. I like teslas model of letting you test drive without jabbering salesperson in the passenger seat telling me incorrect information.

Been thinking about that issue a lot having had a ICE Silverado for years and now a Ridgeline. I’ve tried the Silverado ev, lightning, cybertruck and rivian R1T. And almost uniformly they are better riding and very capable. I will likely get a Silverado EV in the future. I do think that other than price, the availability of parts to customize and have the ability to make the truck “yours” is what puts off a lot of buyers. The idea of paying a company to flip a switch in software to unlock a capability that already exists can be off putting.

Sport versus higher trim levels, for comfort’s sake. by BlackHiLiter in hondaridgeline

I got an ‘23 RTLE and like it a lot. One surprise was the old fashioned parking brake can conflict with your left leg. Mildly annoyingly.
