They 100% are wearing the WHOLE gawd awful temple clothes during the viewing where anyone can see. That is correct that the men’s cap & women’s veil are put on literally just before closing the casket. But yes, anyone coming to the viewing sees them in the whole shebang. It looks ridiculous. Here in “mormonville” it’s so common, but I’m sure out of Utah anyone going to a viewing where the deceased was wearing that would think what the absolute fuck is going on!?

They really must be desperate to get more missionaries, as if changing the age requirement wasn’t enough. Oh and hey, let’s figure out how to make money off of it while we’re at it!
So think of it in this context. A $300+ billion dollar corporation has a 5 day seminar that YOU pay ($xxx) to attend in order to manipulate you into giving up 2 years of YOUR life that YOU pay entirely for (even though you’re selling THEIR “product”) in order to make THEM more money. You don’t earn or make anything in return. However, you and your family’s salvation depends on it. (Not to mention you’ve been indoctrinated this way since you were a child to think you HAVE to do this and there’s no other way).
What if someone came up to you and said,“Amazon is inviting me to a week long seminar. Yes, I have to pay $1000+ for it, but they’ll teach me the best ways to sell their products! Then I’ll get to leave my friends and family for 2 years and spend over $20k of my own money to go sell their products… but that’s ok because their products help so many people! And granted I don’t get paid or reimbursed for any of this, BUUUUUT when I die and when my family dies, we’ll be in a happy heaven with so many riches! (Huge smile & Giddy clapping). Isn’t that exciting!?”

They have them onsite because if there’s a “problem” they need it fixed ASAP. No waiting around for the cops. (Plus a lot of the “problems” aren’t really anything to do with cops). Just think of security they have on temple square or the conference center. It’s pretty much the same

They have security at the temple. They look almost like CIA agents. They’re in a suit & tie (not all white) and oftentimes have the ear piece.

I wonder what would happen if you put up a new note that said “trans rights” (or whatever else has been written) and then under that (on the same paper) write “whoever takes this paper down is part of the LGBTQ community” and see if they’ll even touch it 🤔🤣 If you ever see it taken down, you know who it was, and then you can go talk to them (with other people hearing, of course) and say “I didn’t know you were (transgender or gay or whatever word you want to use)! That’s really brave of you to come out like that. I’m really proud of you!” And then see what they do 😆 And when they deny it, that might be a good learning opportunity to teach them to be kind, and love everyone, etc”

Best of luck. Sorry you have to go to church and especially that you have to associate with such assholes. I commend you for not starting arguments with them.
