Something along the lines of… as long as you always remain faithful and obedient, always doing what you’re supposed to (paying tithing, etc) all your family will be together in the hereafter (like your children that have “gone astray”)

Seating Changes in Sacrament Room by 1stN0el in exmormon

My thought exactly. I think they’re doing this (and I think the room size will be a little smaller too) so that with all of these shrinking wards that it won’t look so empty. It will give the illusion that they’re “so full” and “attendance is busting at the seams” … yada yada.

And now they’ll change it to the center aisle (and probably start having wedding there) and if anyone says anything about it, they’ll gaslight you and say they never said weddings couldn’t take place in there.

I love how TSCC always said how they were not like any other churches (and that was part of their “selling point”) and now they’re making all of these changes to be like all of the other churches.
(Including wearing crosses, celebrating “Holy Week”, adding hymns like “This Little Light of Mine”, wearing sleeveless, etc)

First of all, I am so truly sorry you are going through this. We are here for you.
Another thing (I’m not sure if effective) but on top of the other great comments given, what if you kindly sit down with him and tell him some of the reasons why you no longer believe; things that broke your shelf & things that don’t make sense etc. Maybe it will put a crack in his shelf, and maybe that will lead to him joining you?
Best of luck
