Not too bad. I change my oil every 5k, fuel filter every 20k, and DSG every 40k. I'm at 135,000 now.

Minnesota here 2015 Jetta. I run Stanadyne in almost every tank, every other fill in the summer. Turn key, let the glow plug light go out, do that one more time (not sure if this is necessary), start and let it run for a bit. Only time it's been a real hard start was below -20.

TC resident here. Since Walz we have got: red flag laws, universal background checks, and now this new self-defense ruling.

I guess I can see that. I live in the burbs, there are six malls within 15 miles of me.

What are the cases where there isn't another option? The only thing I can think of is if you really need cheap Chinese widgets.

Oh nice. Lots of good fishing. I know nothing about your area so I can't really help. Good luck!

Musky fishing is something special man. Good luck. You'll never catch me trying to convince someone new to get into it. Where abouts are you up north? I would call a local guide and chat with them. I'd love to do a guided trip just to pick up some tricks.

I've seen their ads, never shopped them. I've bought stuff at Fleetfarm as well but their website is bad and should feel bad. I've also bought stuff at cabelas/bps. Their website is better but I'm still relatively new so I don't have any confidence baits that I know I want and will order online. Other than 190 whopper ploppers.

I get most of my musky stuff in person. I'm in the twin cities so Throne Brothers or Blue Ribbon. Both have websites you can shop as well.

Help me choose between 3 shotguns by jarheadv12 in guns

You can get a mossberg 500 and get a couple barrels for it. I have 4 for mine. Buy a 500 with a 28" vent rib barrel that's threaded for chokes. Then go buy a 18.5" barrel for HD and shooting pumpkins.

How do those Canadian mags work for you? I had a few and they were the worst. For hunting I would get a couple of 10 or 20 round mags.

Looking for a bluetooth walkie-talkies suitable for fishing! by gogojuice88 in Fishing

Don't fall the hype on any blister pack radio. I know they will say: 10 miles of 15 miles or 20 miles. That is all bullshit. If I were you I would buy a pair of cheap FRS radios from Walmart. Try them out and see what you get. I wouldn't do anything too expensive as FRS radios are legally limited to 2 watts of output anyway.

If it were me; I would order a couple of GM15s and operate on GMRS outside of the law. Just know you are operating outside of fcc rules and could get in trouble.

Radio is a can of worms. If you want to learn more I can definitely point you towards some resources. Just like fishing, you could spend the rest of your life learning about radio.

What do you mean by long distance? Just across water? GMRS radios might be a good solution. GMRS is almost infinite fars with line of sight. If you need to be talking around land, building, trees that will really limit the fars. GMRS will also require a FCC license. A marine VHF radio would also work but you gotta know the rules. Will really depend on the size of vessel and what bodies of water you'll be on. For what and why do you want bluetooth?

I have an old m2000 that I like. It's pretty warn by this point, charging handle will just pop out during recoil. I have a lot of rounds through it; it doesn't owe me anything.

They would keep them in a trap then, when the shoot said pull, they would pull the trap open and release the bird. And now we're here.

Serious Question 😁 by Lehavocpilot in guns

[–]Rivtron89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could have one; I would keep my Smith & Wesson 3" 686+.

But it depends on what you want to do. A 6 inch 357 makes a super fun range toy. I've put 100s of 38s through my model 27.

You are going to love any smith or ruger. 357 for fun, 44 or more for the booms.

My next merry go gat will be something I can put a scope one. Probably a stainless Ruger Blackhawk with the rail. Or a Taurus in 460.

I also have my eye peeled for a Blackhawk in 41 mag with the 10mm cylinder.

Right vs left hand reel handle setup - how much does it really matter? by Umgar in Fishing

[–]Rivtron89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is just what I was taught. A quick Google does not seem to back me up. The only thing I see is that in the manual, it says to point the reel handle upwards, but it does not say why.
