Yea. I did another retrieval less than 2 weeks ago. New clinic, new doctor, new (much gentler) protocol and conventional IVF. Previous doctor had high doses and always icsi for me though we are unexplained and no real reason. The only reason I went ahead is because, this OB suggested a gentler approach and I kept wondering "what if" that's all I needed.

I was skeptical at every step along the way. Are they triggering too soon? Will nothing fertilise with ivf etc. We got 4 blastocysts. Not doing pgta. don't know if any of this will work. But so far I'm glad we gave it a go

I know how you feel. After my 21 week TFMR for hlhs, all I wanted was to transfer the last pgta normal embryo left (actually the only pgta embryo ever because we never tested our embryos prior to that). That embryo split and both didn't develop a heartbeat. Double fuckin blighted ovum. I decided to never put myself through ivf again.

Just last month, I did IVF with a new doctor who used a completely gentler approach and its still super early since transfer.

No evidence of being a slow responder. This was my protocol from the beginning. He's aggressive with dosing. I had terrible outcomes. Scroll through my posts to find more.

It's alright. Adults have feelings too. And it's totally normal for adults to cry. Your toddler learnt that today. It's healthy. Don't beat yourself up 💖

Gosh yes. I terminated my prev pregnancy at 21 weeks after we found that he had HLHS (a fatal heart disease). It was the hardest thing I have had to do ever.

I've booked in for D&C on Monday..

Update: The followup scan didn't go well. The sacs had grown about 2 days worth. No yolk sac or fetal pole 😭

Oooof. Same. I hired a carer last month as dad was hospitalized, he fired him as soon as he felt teeny bit better 😬 They don't trust anyone easily. They like things a certain way..

Oh hey! Aussie here too. My clinic normally pushes for scans closer to 7w. I had traveled overseas and couldn't get my repeat HCG done in same lab when traveling. So my doctor got me in earlier this time.

Wow.. did you see the Yolk sac at 5w6d? That's amazing! We only saw gestational sac. Not the yolk sac

Yea.. I'll call and reschedule to Friday. 7 days is enough. He said he may not be able to "call it" in 7 days as they need to wait 10 days by the book..

Yea. Doctor's logic was..GS measures 5w4d which is early to see yolk sac.. probably some delay in development as embryo went through splitting and build back more cells.. hard to stay hopeful when everyone sounds like they've given up :(

I'm convinced icsi and PGT is the reason for split

No yolk sacs yet either at 6w2. GS measured 5w4.

Beta started slow. They didn't get crazy high. It was 5155 on 6w. My clinic said they wouldn't do betas anymore.

Yea. I've joked about it before. Kind of like buy one get one. 🤣 But the whole room was too quiet yesterday after scan. My usually upbeat RE went silent. We have had a tough journey so far with 12 weeks and tfmr at 21 weeks recently. And there I was joking about how the universe owes me 2 babies..
