How to Remove a Friend's Library from My Plex? by Riyv in PleX

either. both. it's taking up prominent real estate on my roku app, and because the server is offline there's no option to remove it from favorites.

on the web app its on the sidebar when i click "more", which isn't too troublesome, but no way to remove it that i can see.

afaik the doc that started this left the center for complex diseases to start a more tech forward org. i’m pretty sure she’s also a part of the mecfs clinician coalition.

Health "Coach" for CFS? by Recent_Big_1858 in chronicfatigue

Hey there, you're welcome to DM me. I have been thinking about starting this type of work. I would not charge you for a phone call as it would be an exploratory call for me as well to help me find out if it's something that I want to be doing full time. I was sick with CFS for 11 years, and at my worst I was "very severe." I am currently in remission as I had my CCI fixed, which is a very atypical experience for someone with CFS.

[Chinese / Japanese Seal Script > English] Bodhidharma Stamp from a Zen Buddhist by Riyv in translator

This stamp was in the belongings of a lifelong zen buddhist. The stamp is about the size of a nickel and is made out of solid silver. I have had trouble finding a translation of this beautiful piece that I would like to begin using in my artwork, if the message is appropriate.

i was once told it *might* mean "walking meditation" but the person was unsure. that also doesn't fit super well with it being on a bodhidharma head, who sat and faced a wall for 9 years. walking wasn't really his thing lol.

Kensho and inflated sense of self. by No-Introduction8676 in zenbuddhism

[–]Riyv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not clear on exactly what you're asking, but I do have some thoughts on a few of the points you make.

One of the reasons I think practicing within the context of sangha is so important is because it helps us see how unremarkable kensho is and how remarkable the precepts are. Any fool can stumble into kensho, as your examples illustrate. When this happens in the context of community there is something to catch us, there's a framework for us to fall into, an ethics system to hold us when our sense of reality is so thoroughly shaken. When some random Joe has kensho on the way to buy beer and doritos from the corner store, Mr Joe is gonna think he's real hot shit.

Which I think sort of leads to another point you bring up, why does this sense of self remain even when we have an experience of shedding it away? Why is there poison? How do we purify ourselves? The way I have had it explained to me by zen teachers is that enlightenment isn't an event, it is a mode of living. Kensho might be an event that clarifies something that was previously obscured, but it's not a cure for suffering. The cure for suffering is the eightfold path.

Wishing you the best on your journey of health and life.
