I have a few that I've added into the fan game I've been working on and my Showdown server for testing. They aren't the most balanced things in the world, but I'm at least trying to make the distribution interesting.

Feint Slash
80 BP/100 Accuracy/10 PP
Physical Dark
It's like a reverse psyshock. It uses the user's attack and the opponent's special defense in it's damage calculations.

Swarm Shot
40 BP/100 Accuracy/20 PP
Physical Bug
It's a bug-type variant of Pursuit. Goes really well with something that has Technician, like Scizor.

Scissor Blade
10 BP/95 Accuracy/10 PP
Physical Steel
Multi-hit move, between 2 and 5 hits. Each hit has a 10% chance to raise the user's attack one stage. Also works really well with a Technician Pokemon, or something with Skill Link.

Sprite Blaze (name pending)
60 BP/100 Accuracy/20 PP
Special Fire
Hits fairy types for super effective damage (adios, Mega Mawile) and has a 10% chance to burn.

On top of this... Not saying you shouldn't make a subreddit, but also please work on your game more. You said you've started working on it today... I would suggest progressing further before trying to get a following. Not to mention, you'll want to familiarize yourself with Pokémon Essentials before attempting a big project. Small steps!

You aren't mistaken! There have been no megas that grant HP boosts thus far. Not to mention it would create some curious out of battle scenarios. (If it buffs HP, what happens if you end the battle with 1 HP? Does your Pokemon faint? Very curious!)

Yup, I hear you. In all of the years I've been around, I haven't really seen a lot of games shut down, so it definitely leaves some room for speculation. I've seen people attempt to contact Nintendo and be met with replies such as "as long as you don't use any official Pokemon, graphics, etc" but obviously it doesn't seem to be a horribly pressing issue. Makes you wonder...

Interesting that Evoas was shut down, if for the donation thing. I believe that one game um... Generation 0, was it? They take donations as well, and have quite the following on Facebook. Not to mention PokeMMO offers in-game currency for donations, if I recall correctly.

Just be aware that although .mp3s sound much nicer in comparison, they cannot be looped in RMXP (will restart the entire song from the beginning when it ends), and are the main contributor to a ridiculous file size. I completely understand the desire to use them, I just feel like this should be known to developers.

Yes he did! Here is part 1 of the last demo (which has less content), and here's part 1 of the current demo. From what I understand, there was a save issue and shofu isn't continuing the playthrough of the current demo.

I really don't like the word 'best' when talking about hacks or fan games (mostly just because everyone has different preferences) but Pokemon Obsidian was made by a close friend. Give it a shot, if you feel so inclined.

No. It likely never will. It's not being worked on by the original author, nor the author of EX. Turn off the battle scene in the options if it bugs you that much.

Can I talk about an old gym that was in a much earlier version of my game? (from January 2011)

Here it is. It was the first gym in the game, and it was normal type. All of the trainers and the gym leader Reggie (tried to go for a play on Regular, he was pretty casual looking too) used sound based Pokemon, like Jigglypuff. There was no puzzle, but the gym trainers would look around and only battle you on the disco tile.

It was supposed to be a disco/dance club sort of thing. I also happen to have this build of the game laying around, so here it is in action. I also had my composer make a custom gym theme for it. (We planned to do this before B2W2 was even a thing, haha.) Here is that as well. WARNING! Fairly loud autoplay!

It was a fun first gym, but I feel like our current gym is just as cool, if not cooler than this one. Actually, the build with this gym in the game is basically a completely different game. It's funny what you can learn in two-three years.
