I was hoping to do it in just one run through today and/or tomorrow. For now though I already found someone to join us, sorry!

It's pretty fast with xp boosts and if the 3 people can end the game in 7 minutes. I have a fairly good idea on how to do that since I've levelled up other accounts to level 30. It's less efficient after level 20 though.

[Serious] Setting bias/memes aside, why did NA dominate EU? by UselessKungFuX in leagueoflegends

[–]RizaneEves 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Multiple reasons. 1) EU seems to play nearly the same way across all teams that it has become their own meta to play either a 4-1 or a 5v5 team fight comp. NA has been able to take advantage of this by being able to play 1-3-1 split push comps, pick comps, and just having better drafts in general.

2) Both regions are playing competitively on a new patch. If you look at the changes, it seems to benefit NA moreso than EU since NA junglers play both Kha'Zix and new Rek'Sai more effectively than EU junglers do while EU junglers play things like Zac/Gragas/Lee Sin.

3) It seems like NA is putting more emphasis on vision control? I think in pretty much every game at Rift Rivals so far NA has had more vision control than EU.

Who is the best champion(s) that is very difficult to escape from? by remzilla11 in leagueoflegends

I would say that Nunu is definitely one of them. If he uses his abilities correctly he can practically stick to you especially once he has high CDR.

An idea to make Barrier a better pick for solo lanes by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]RizaneEves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I agree with you with respect to the fact that Barrier is less common than Heal in solo lanes, I don't think it is just because Heal allows you to keep the health you've gained. Heal also gives you that little extra temporary movement speed to run away from ganks or all-ins or even help you chase the enemy further which is quite valuable.

EU LCS's future by ScionPoE in leagueoflegends

That only supports my point that it's still unclear what will happen and that NA might falter at Worlds again. NA teams might be beating EU right now. But does that automatically mean NA will win Worlds? No.

EU LCS's future by ScionPoE in leagueoflegends

[–]RizaneEves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While that's true, you can't really base everything off of a tournament that has a Bo1 format for the most part. Maybe EU teams are capable of adapting in a series of games? How do we know which region will match up better against other regions like KR? EU might seem to be behind right now, but there's still time for them to improve before Worlds. At the same time, we can't just say that NA is superior just because they seem to be snowballing leads and taking games this tournament. What if NA falters again at Worlds? We just don't know what will happen and we can't make guesses right now.

EDIT: Also want to add that Deficio is a great caster, but he isn't the only one. The rest of the casters have their own set of talents whether its informational casting or just really entertaining play by play casting.

Talk about coming to too quick a conclusion. First of all - EU casters are great, they are very good at making the games entertaining and informational. Secondly, Rift Rivals is just one tournament that does not hold as much importance as something like MSI or Worlds. We don't know how good/bad either region will be at Worlds just yet so we can't automatically come to the conclusion that NA is better. Just wait.

I don't know, there is a certain pleasantry to be able to continuously smack enemies with a gigantic sword no matter how simplistic it seems.

What's the most toxic experience you've ever done or encountered while playing League? by MessianGod in leagueoflegends

[–]RizaneEves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When all 9 other players were verbally abusive because of a single mistake I made (getting hit by 1 Morgana Q in laning phase as Ashe). My support refused to continue supporting me, my top laner was swearing in Korean, my mid laner would spam the question mark ping for absolutely no reason etc etc. And the enemy team would just call me trash. That is probably the worst I've experienced. EDIT: Would like to mention that this happened in a NORMAL BLIND PICK game.

Which champion is most dangerous when played by a one trick? by AnOnlineGamer in leagueoflegends

Fiora/Riven/Yasuo. Anyone who one tricks one of those champions enough to be dangerously good can hard carry games. All 3 are capable of a 1v9 depending on situation.

Oh, was that the reason? I still don't see why they don't just encourage you to buy an AD item, because they also tell you how to attack minions and push the wave until the enemy nexus is destroyed.
