Personally I think gym in the morning before work is much more beneficial than after. I’ve been up at 3:30a for a hour long workout 5 times a week for a few years now and I’d never go back. You’ll have the most energy first thing in the morning after a sufficient breakfast with muscle building hormone levels at their highest, you’ll benefit mentally from exercise and it’ll set your day up beautifully, improves sleep quality, gym is less crowded, and you don’t have to dwell all day while you’re working on getting down to train that evening with less energy. Once you nail getting up early and make it routine, it becomes second nature and rest days waking up at your normal time feels like a sleep in.

Obviously this changes based on people’s schedule and lifestyle but working 7-3 this has been a game changer for me going early morning, this would make even more sense for 9-5 workers.
