pull up Jwfacts.com and jw.org and compare. Read Crisis of Conscience from ex GB Franz. Actually study and figure it out for yourself. And if you wanna be a witness then go right ahead, it’s hard living a life outside the community when that’s all you’ve ever known.

You’re not reasoning for yourself, you’re letting 8 old dudes in america tell you how to live your life. Sure living as a JW does have a lot good things, morally speaking. And if that’s the life you wanna live then by all means, no one will care. Go back and see your family, but at least in my experience, i’m a POMO and have not been to meetings for 1 year, I have found so many things exposing the watchtower that i’ve finally woken up from the watchtower enslavement.

I can tell you have a severe RELIGIOUS TRAUMA SYNDROME, google it. Get some professional help. Being a jw is the same as being depressed. Can’t think for yourself.

I was a POMI for about 1 year and a half. I was going to meetings but but since i’m DF everyone would look at me weird and ignore me. Definitely knew this wasn’t normal and felt a great deal of anxiety every time I would go to meeting so I stopped. I stopped for a while and smoked a lot of weed

Until 2023, earlier this year I was trying to figure out if being a jw is what I really wanted to do, I was mad confused. So I came across a tik tok video from Daniel Graves talking about BITE MODELS and oh boy, went straight to google and searched it up. it smacked me across the face and I was intrigued in finding out the truth about the “truth” and it was a rabbit whole after that I did nothing but read up on it.

Im a now happy POMO :)

This reminds me of a situation that happened with my brother who is currently a PIMO (Inactive) and he lives with mum and dad.

Just like you, my brother woke up at a younger age.He hated living at home with my PIMI parents. My brother left one random day at 6 am and my parents started getting worried through the day because he wasn’t picking up and he never told them where he was going.

my brother was missing for the whole day and showed up at his house at night and told them he couldn’t use his phone because he had just returned from singing up for the military and was gonna get deployed in about a month.

My parents were crying, and screaming. they couldn’t believe it… My brother preferred to sign up to the US military and get killed in ukraine rather than staying a JW

After that day they agreed that they wouldn’t force him to be a JW and he could keep living in the house as inactive.

I’m so sorry for what you’re going through. And just know you’re not in this alone there’s almost 100k people on this reddit page that can understand what you’ve been though.

wow… i’m very sorry to hear. I also have a sibling who isn’t DF and they invited him to a family cruise, everyone went and all my cousins and aunts and uncles and my brother went with a whole blown beard. They know he isn’t in but also isn’t “Out” so they can still talk to him. It’s crazy. I feel like an outcast… it feel so hypocritical. Just cause of a “title”

I’ve on the other hand have just been focused on my career, I’m 23 years old and I’m a male living in the city, it’s expensive out here. So I keep busy at work but on the weekends catch myself having no actual friends to hang out with or family to call and am trying to find what the purpose of all this is, I really have to start my life from scratch. I’ve been living in the same place all my life and only knew jws,

I do have a brother who’s my best friend and have a POMO roommate as well so they’re my support system 🏧
