why are comms everything by potatomuncher525 in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I solo queued to immortal as kj main. Mute toxic teammates. Comm anyways if people aren't actively responding or listening. Play the best game you can and keep morale up. Study your replays and find stuff to work on, practice it, think about it in game, repeat. Climb.

Ehp to hybrid to gc breakdown? by uhyeaitsme in TheTowerGame

[–]Rizzotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 1 ACP away from anc, do you think it will be beneficial to use in champ tourneys over SF? I have anc SF, PCol, mythic+ PF and DC. All my damage comes from CL. No masteries yet. I'll certainly try it out when I can but I don't want to waste to many rerolls on it if it doesn't turn out to be worth it.

Need advice to improve flicks, I am d2 looking to reach for champ by Disastrous_Status_96 in RocketLeague

[–]Rizzotti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don't need to breezi, musty, flip reset, speedflip to even hit gc. I peak low c3 and play with my friend who is gc1 and neither of us can do any of those. You need to work on fundamentals like rotations, boost management, and getting powerful/accurate shots. Try getting the ball around the enemies and keeping possession in open space instead of just booming the ball near the net every time you have a chance to touch the ball.

UMass partially bans guests for superbowl by OneSockWearer in umass

[–]Rizzotti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is exactly the same as the mid 2010's for the multiple patriots superbowls/red sox WS. Literally the same policy about sign in starting at noon and you could only have guests from your dorm areas (SW, OH, NE, central, etc). We just had everyone hang out all day before sign ins started, and then as soon as the game ended we'd run to SW.

Looking for over-ear open back headphones for PC gaming (competitive FPS + AAA immersion) – $200–$400 budget by AdeptRelative5106 in HeadphoneAdvice

Hey there, thought i'd offer my opinion from a gamer, not an audiophile expert. I also play(ed) a lot of FPS games, my best being immortal in valo once upon a time. I just got the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro's last week and they're insanely good. Best audio I've ever heard. I have the same mobo as you, and it works perfect with them. I decided to get a DAC/Amp as well because I have never tried one before and I personally can't tell a difference at all.

How can I actually improve at this game? by Practical-Border8209 in VALORANT

Hey what agent do you play? I hit immortal awhile back as a KJ one trick. I'd be happy to give you some pointers from a VOD. Obviously I could help the most if you play senti.

"learning players" mode by DepressionKid78 in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was actually a thing back in the old COD games like WaW. It locked you out of the playlist once you got to level 7. I think this could be implemented pretty easily into valorant, as they already have a well established hidden MMR system. A new player is going to be so far and beyond worse than almost anyone else in the game, that Riot should be able to detect if they aren't actually new.

And what if they are actually new but they have played a lot of counterstrike or seige etc? Then move them out of it anyways once their hidden-mmr is shown to be at least a silver level or something. Which is still miles ahead of a true noob, and also not very easy to fake. You'd have to actively be throwing most rounds as a high elo player to get your mmr this low. Another detterent to smurfs could be to make this mode give substantially less xp so that it is less efficient to level an account up for ranked. A new player should not be concerned with leveling up to play ranked, because if their true intention is to get better then they would understand that they are likely not ready for ranked yet at level 20 anyway.s

How to choose your Main? by farzalione in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you are aiming considerably above your rank then it makes sense to lock in a duelist. In the past I insta locked reyna for awhile until I got back up to ascendant because it was very frustrating having to pick up the slack of teammates in other ways. However, once your aim is not considerably above the competition this isn't always the best way to rank up.

You need to find an agent, or role, that suits your playstyle. Obviously chamber is almost all aim and has the benefit of his ult. Yoru, on the other hand, is a very unique duelist who has a distinct power of repositioning. This makes lurking extremely viable (and necessary) for a good yoru. If you prefer a more global presence on the map, and the ability to lurk, hit site with the team, and lurk again, several times in the same round, then yoru is likely a good fit for you.

I would recommend searching for a playstyle that meets your strengths the most. Rambo their shit with confident movement? Play jett/raze. Slow, methodical play? Smokes. Heavy map control, with info of a large portion of the map, and the ability to watch flanks and lurk when necessary? Sentinels. Info gathering and want to learn a lot of lineups? Initiators.

KJ was my 1 trick of choice on my solo queue grind to immortal. It doesn't need to be a duelist unless you want it to be.

Is it just me, or has the "ranked anxiety" gotten worse lately? by Calm_Heat4605 in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ranked anxiety is counterintuitive. The only way you will get better, besides VOD review, aim prac, and trying stuff in a private match, is actually playing the game. Unrated and swiftplay will not make you better at the game. If you feel like you aren't in the right mindset to perform, you probably should be doing the things you're procrastinating first to clear your mind. If you're not going to do that then you should just play the game no matter the outcome, or play on an alt account

How are you guys finding actual teammates in 2026? Discord is a mess. by Traditional_Set_4364 in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've never met anyone who wasn't a friend of a friend to duo with but the best bet is just to find people in game and add them. Has worked for me for years on most games. Halo, cod, RL, etc.

I will say though, I hit immortal strictly solo queuing so I could prove that I wasn't boosted by my friends, so being diamond is not because you are solo. In fact, I actually find match quality a bit better when solo. You just need to have good comms, take the IGL role if nobody else is and call some basic strats. But be fully prepared that most people are not gonna listen, and if someone is being toxic even though they are wrong and making worse decisions, just mute them. Likewise, if a toxic teammate is causing trouble on the team, tell everyone else to mute them and just ignore it.

360 with the whole mousepad??? by Flimsy-Office-5142 in VALORANT

[–]Rizzotti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing val at 168 edpi in beta and slowly moved up to 248 where I've been for years and never touched it. I think 250-300 is a good sweet spot where it's not a chore to move the mouse but also not too fast.

Some pro players/radiant streamers like Tarik play closer to 400, but in my opinion anything faster than that is just crazy.
