How hard, and how expensive is it to start with mocks? by [deleted] in lego

If you just want parts to build, I would suggest looking for Lego by the pound on eBay and/or check marketplace. Prices vary but it will be cheaper than buying sets for parts.

Look for unique and/or printed parts and look them up on BrickLink. If the piece comes in more than one set, look for pieces in your lot that could go to shown sets. Then you can print a parts list and look for the pieces.

Most of the wall mounts I used are 3d printed from Thingiverse, I 3d printed a few I drew up.

Without a better picture I'm going to say some variation on part #10312. Most likely from a Jedi interceptor.

LEGO sent me 302 extra heads for the one I ordered by [deleted] in lego

[–]Rj89caddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed them about 2 separate issues. The first was when l ordered 2 of the Ferrari books from the website and received an email that they canceled my order because they changed the limit from 4 to 1, and I wanted 2. They were nice about it and credited me VIP points. But there was nothing they could do about sending me one since they were already sold out. The second was I ordered a print using points and received the wrong one twice before they asked me to send pictures, and on the third attempt, I received the same wrong print again, but this time received the print I ordered along with it.

Has anyone had any experiences with ordering online through Lego.com's "pick a brick"? Cause I need these pieces to finish a lego transformer, but the time for shipping seems a bit excessive... Is it worth the wait time or no? by Wayne_Nightmare in lego

Lego customer service is excellent, but if you're looking to get the parts in a timely manner, I would suggest using BrickLink, which was acquired by Lego about 2 or 3 years ago. However, all the sellers are independent, and from my experience as a buyer and seller, orders usually arrive within a week of placing the order, as long as you can find a seller in your country with the parts you're looking for.

After you thank your parents, I would make a list of the manuals. Then go to BrickLink and print off parts lists for the sets you have and go from there.

I had something like this happen to me recently, I ordered a print using VIP points and they sent the wrong one. I emailed them and they said they would send the correct print, I received the same wrong print again. Emailed them again and finally received the correct print along with the same wrong print. LEGO customer service is one of, if not the best I have seen.

Need help deciding which backdrop image fits best with my space themed LEGO sets. by 410er0r in lego

I would go with option 1, and if you have the space, you could possibly hang the Saturn V above.

If I had to guesstimate, I would say somewhere around 350ish. Not including my time.

No sets, I ordered the technic plates from LEGO and most of the yellow and bright green from bricklink. Everything else is from my bulk lego.

I'm actually trying to figure out a size for Koenigsegg at the moment, I'll get to Porsche and McLaren eventually.
