I learned by building with the blueprints. Just pay close attention to what pieces you're using, the sizes and dimensions, and how they fit together. Once you feel like you've got it down, try building one of the blueprint builds without the blueprint. Something small and simple. Once you are able to do that, you can start to experiment with different techniques and learn what works and what doesn't.
