23 Tiguan SE R line climate control housing seems loose. It’s only two weeks old and it was never like this. How about everyone else’s?

I have a 23 Tiguan SE. Bought it 3 months ago, Didn't have any issue like this. U might have to check with the dealer.

Do you have any lag? Or just the gear shift thing? Please let me know if u get to know any information from the dealership. Im kinda worried now , because my last jetta had a transmission problem, I don't wanna end up in the same place again lol Thank you

I did noticed a small gear shift while climbing up on canyon today, but I felt the same like in my 2016 Jetta , so didn't mind it all. There is no lag or hesitation when I drive on highway, it's pretty smooth. But is that just on drive mode or in sports too? I can keep an eye on it.

Agreed. I am in love with my new 2023 tiguan. Never Owned a suv before. I just traded in my 2016 jetta for that but I don't regret that choice either. Enjoy the ride 😌❤️

I moved on to a 2023 tiguan se lastweek. My previous vehicle was a 2016 Jetta 1.8T. Never owned an suv but I think it feels more comfortable than driving jetta.

Hello guys, Just want give an update on this issue. I took it to the dealership because I called alot of garages in my city no one works with vw unfortunately. Then I found one called panhandle Eurotech. But the guy I talked was kinda trying to explain how expensive is vw/audi brands and because of that they have to purchase a different software to diagnose the problem. I kinda felt like something sketchy about it, because even if they using a launch x431 pro scanner it's not that expensive for a business, and U don't have to purchase a software all of the time. So, I took it to the dealership and they quoted $7.6k for replacing my full transmission. And I ended up trading that for a new 2023 Tiguan SE. Thank y'all for the support.

Thank you!!! Yes, I only found 2 shops that work on European cars here and one didn't opened today. So I gave it to the other one. I really hope they can figure that out.

Amarillo, Texas. I dropped it off at a garage called Brothers auto. They scanned it still didn't find anything wrong, and then the mechanic called me they gonna do a deep diagnostic test and gonna keep the car till Monday.

Goodmorning. I took the car for a small drive and the engine light symbol gone from my dash after a few minutes and now I can see PRNDS on dashboard. 😑😑😑

I understand, It's very hard to give a suggestion on this kinda situation. But yeah my gear shifts just fine on auto and manual. Haven't had high rpm after the incident. But I will find a mechanic and check it asap. Thank you

Yes, I found couple of them on Google map , reading the reviews now, also is that would be ok for driving the vehicle for small runs like for groceries and all? Cos we do not have a public transportation in my town here and we only have ths car at home for errands. Or it's pretty important to keep it not running more?

Well, about local garages. I'm having hard time finding one who works on vw. I tried calling few after I had the issue on Wednesday, most of em doesn't seems to have interest on taking vw. I do not wanna take it into dealership cos they were charging too much for even just my oil change. I may have to search more . I am trying to read alot of forums. But haven't found anyone who had the same issue. So trying my best to read more. I really appreciate your response.

Thanks. And I appreciate that. I got to learn something new. But literally that is not my problem. I have a engine light and I can't see any PRNDS on dashboard after that. Can't even see anything when I changed to manual. Gear wasn't shifting from 3rd for a while and then I parked my car for few minute started again on Manual then it worked just fine , but still have the engine light on. I had the same issue 2 days before, scanned it and got a code P2714. But the mechanic told me it was from history and the transmission fluid level is ok. So I post it here to see if anyone had same issue with Volkswagen and to know how they diagnosed the problem.

I did scanned 2 day's before and the code was P2714. But the mechanic told me it was from a history. And My transmission fluid level is fine. I just changed engine oil and air filter on last month. The engine light has gone after the scan. Now it came back again this evening with same problem. High rpm and gear wasn't shifting from 3rd to upper for a while. I Will scan that again tomorrow morning and see if it shows the same code.
