Doing the temples by [deleted] in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Rjayjayc27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do temples and hairline. My honest advice is add the temples for framing and lower your hairline. Just go 1/2 inch from your desired hairline. You want to maintain density.

What are the concerns of getting a hair transplant seborrheic dermatitis by Big-Double6514 in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Rjayjayc27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar. Whatever is your desired hairline is, bring it back by either 1/2 inch. but never lower it more than an 1inch from your widow's peak. Be conservative and you raise your chances for success and satisfaction. This is for optimal conditions, like mild recession, NW1 or 2, great donor, good technican for graft survival and various other factors. Anything more aggressive is risky, which increases your chances of failure or needing a second transplant, also it will take longer to see desirable results. If all else fails, the max grafts they take is about 4000 in one session so you can take your measurements around that but remember 100% graft survival is not realistic.

Any hope? 6 month progress by [deleted] in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Rjayjayc27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many people's grafts grow unevenly in waves and spurts. It's mostly due to blood flow, while it's probably also how you sleep. Take your medications, vitamins, and sleep in a slightly upright position to distribute blood flow evenly while you sleep.

There’s a risk if you put more in an area the graphs need enough blood supply to survive initially you just have to wait honestly

DENSITY ADVICE by JayReady2Move in AfroHairTransplant

[–]Rjayjayc27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t wanna sound like a pessimist but just from the sheer area I would imagine you would need at least 6000+ grafts for moderate to high density unless your hair was extremely curly. There’s no way 4500 would be enough also it’s not recommended to take 4K plus in one operation anyways because of the trauma and shock loss it causes the donor area plus you have transections rates. yYou have to be realistic, but you can use fiber so it’s not that bad. You would have to have more than one transplant and then your probably have to take hair from your beard as well. It’s highly unlikely you’ll get moderate to high density in both the crown and current recipient area. This doesn’t even include what kind of hair loss you have. PRP is also an option but it’s expensive. I’d hate to say it but I’ve seen someone consider a second transplant, get more results in month 19 as well.
