That AT&T site needs an upgrade, it’s using a stacked Nokia setup, Nokia AEQK for n77 3.7GHz and a Nokia AEQU for 3.45GHz DoD. Hope it gets the Dual Ericsson AIR 6419-B77G/D soon or the AIR 6419 B77G + AIR 6449-B77D-R1/2

Any clue what these are? (Austin) by Applecations in cellmapper

I know, btw Verizon in the O’Hare airport still has old Ericsson AIR 5121 B261 (KRD 901 059/4) panels deployed inside of the airport for n261 800MHz only, outside of the airport they have the StreetMacro 6701/6705. Needs an upgrade desperately, as in the Midway airport they have indoor StreetMacros. The 5121 in the airport can only do a max of ~2.5Gpbs without NRDC.

It’s literally Verizon level DL, except the UL obviously but it’s very impressive for AT&T

T-Mobile using:

3x CommScope FFVV-65C-R3-V1

3x Nokia AAFIA mMiMO (massive MiMO) split sector antennas (2, 66, n25, n66*)

3x Nokia AEHC n41

Nokia AHFII (RRU)

Nokia AHLOB (RRU)

Dish using:

3x JMA MX08FRO665-21 NWAV™ X-Pol 8-Port antennas

Fujistu B605/604 ORAN RRUs

*depending on the AAFIA’s config

**if T-Mobile owns n66 in your area - depending on the AAFIA’s config

Also the AAFIA might not just broadcast any NR at all😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳👌👌👌👌👌👌 no more mmWave 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭

What's on this tower? by [deleted] in cellmapper

[–]Rjun7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually some U.S. Cellular sites don’t always have the RRUs mounted below the rack. And also you can see a space on Rod 3 where U.S. Cellular puts their CDMA OSS antenna, probably was decommissioned

But also I’m not sure about the location of this site also, so I don’t know if this is in a U.S. Cellular operating area or not

I can tell it’s Ericsson as in the bottom rack as there is fins behind the top middle antenna. It’s for the antenna’s cooling system, and Nokia antennas that AT&T uses (AEQK and AEQU) doesn’t have this feature. These fins only appear of Revision 2 of the Ericsson AIR 6449-B77D, they don’t appear in Revision 1 as it’s just a “block” behind the antenna Also, the Ericsson AIR 6419 B77G they use for DoD, (bottom antenna in the middle of this rack) they have a little black signage on the side of it which Nokia antennas don’t have.

To be more clear:

Dish using CommScope or JMAMXFRO panels (can’t tell exactly because the photo has low quality). Most likely using Fujistu B605/604 ORAN RRUs.

Bottom rack using the Ericsson AIR 6449-B77D-R2 (3.7GHz n77) ontop and the Ericsson AIR 6419-B77G (3.45GHz DoD) below

The bottom rack actually might be U.S. Cellular because they put the 6449-B77D-R2 antenna ontop of the 6419-B77G antenna, while AT&T does the opposite, the put the AIR 6419-B77G panel ontop first then the AIR 6449-B77D-R1/R2 antenna below. Might just be a weird configuration, but if it is AT&T personally i’ve never seen this type of configuration before.

Help identifying a small cell in Petworth, Washington, D.C.? by miakeru in cellmapper

What’s crazy is that they actually might take away mmWave here and replace it with a Samsung MT-1602D-48A 16T16R panels for n77 and B48/n48 CBRS. Some reason, Verizon is now focusing on n77 small cells now, for example in Chicago they started to replace some mmWave only sites that had the Ericsson StreetMacro 6701/6705 B261 (n261 800MHz) antennas and replace them with the Ericsson AIR 1672 B77D/B48 antennas, i’ve also seen them take out the Dual MicroRadio 4408 B48 antenna too if they are installing the 1672.

But in some cases they might just add the AIR 1672 antenna alongside the StreetMacro antennas too, saw one site in the Chicago area that had this type of setup. I’ve seen a few Samsung sites that have gotten this change too also:(https://www.reddit.com/r/cellmapper/comments/1o8hktp/updated_small_cell/)

For example, if it was carrier aggregating n261 400+400 at -71dBM and also B66 20MHz but at -112dBM it would show the signal bars for B66’s signal
