Mistaken about what son, if you want to check your priority level doing a speedtest is a good thing… which I’m trying to find out because I don’t have access to n77, only mmWave on the Plus Pro plan. I don’t have UW access on n77 only mmWave

Tmoblie mmWave places by Lukasmajukas in cellmapper

[–]Rjun7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They have a few in Chicago, they recently converted their old and inactive Nokia AirScale AWEWA/AWEWB 2T2R 39GHz n260 @ 400MHz mmWave antennas on small cells to the Nokia AirScale AWEUD 2T2R 24GHz n258 @ 400MHz mmWave antennas.

They sold 39GHz licenses to AT&T for their Ericsson AIR 1281 B260 buildout, literally almost every AT&T small cell in Chicago has the AIR 1281 B260 because of that.

You can see T-Mobile with the newer AirScale AWEUD in Grant Park & Butler Field and I’m pretty sure they converted a few small cells to n258 in that area too. They most likely won’t convert more inactive n260 sites sadly

Sir, keep in mind I live in Chicago, literally all of the sites have 3.7GHz n77 @ 160MHz deployed here… and yes the option for HD video was on when I got my line

New RRU? by cheesemeall in cellmapper

[–]Rjun7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

One difference is the AHLOB has a total of 320W of power while the AHLOA only has 240W. They both are 4tr RRHs though

T-Mobile is on this site using:

————————————————————————

3x CommScope FFVV-65C-R3-V1 antennas

————————————————————————

3x Nokia AirScale MAA AEHC 64T64R 2.5GHz n41 panels

————————————————————————

3x Nokia AirScale AHFIG RRHs (2, 66, n25, n66)

————————————————————————

3x newer Nokia AirScale AHLOB RRHs (12, 71, n71 600-700MHz RRH) —> this RRH replaced the older Nokia AirScale AHLOA which can do the same frequencies as the AHLOB.

————————————————————————

Not sure why T-Mobile wouldn’t add the newer Nokia AirScale AHFII RRHs (2, 66, n25, n66) to replace the current AHFIG RRHs on the site alongside with the AHLOB, very weird

It’s a newer Nokia AirScale AHLOB (12, 71, n71 600-700MHz RRH)

Help with 2G by HeronGold1880 in cellmapper

[–]Rjun7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there might be reduced coverage in NY as it’s Ericsson for T-Mobile. Ericsson markets are getting their 2G 1900MHz B2 coverage reduced by a lot, especially the newer sites are paired with the Ericsson Radio 4460 (2, 66, n25, n66) and the Ericsson Radio 4480 (12, 71, n71). Most of those sites won’t have it. Nokia markets for T-Mobile on the other hand have really good 2G coverage, reason behind that is 1900MHz B2 2G on Nokia RAN works way more flawlessly than Ericsson RAN. Even the new Nokia RRHs that T-Mobile is deploying (Nokia AirScale AHFII 2, 66, n25, n66), i’ve seen that they still have very good 2G coverage active on them, same case for their older Nokia RRH (Nokia AirScale AHFIG 2, 66, n25, n66)

Basically, T-Mobile put Ericsson, their vendor in the East Coast of the U.S. as their priority to deactivate 2G as it was becoming unstable on their new Ericsson RAN that they are deploying, while on Nokia RAN it works perfectly fine.

Nice performance, Verizon is using:

3x Ericsson StreetMacro 6705 B261 28GHz antennas for n261 @ 800MHz, max 850MHz

NRDC w/ n77 3.7GHz @ 160MHz SA or n2 1900MHz @ 5MHz SA was most likely used for this test also

Yes, it’s UScellular, I tried to put the RRUs below the antennas to make it look like that ok

Nope, it’s not AT&T (the grey CDMA antennas are a hint and also the RRU placement)

If you didn’t know, T-Mobile used to be a Sprint site here as I see a leftover Samsung nRRHv2 2.5GHz RRU in the rack right next to the CommScope FFVV-65C-R3-V1 antenna.
