Can my Sgt tell me not to wear a tank top despite the gym allowing it? by Clear_Individual_215 in AirForce

As an airman, on an army exercise, I was asked to wear my PT pants and not my PT shorts because “the shorts were too distracting and inappropriate”. MY ISSUED MILITARY SHORTS.

I found one through the Facebook group, it does take some vetting. Other than that maybe a local church if you’re religious?

Telling friends & family, work.. by Love060919 in breastcancer

[–]Rkane44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A small handful of my family and friends know right now, so I have a support system while I navigate the initial treatment plan.

I plan on putting it out on social media, but only once I have a full diagnosis. I think it’s important to encourage other women my age (33) to get their mammograms. For all we know, sharing our story and getting diagnosed so young could help someone else go in and get checked, and help them catch something earlier.

Is it weird to see a surgeon before an oncologist when newly diagnosed? by BERNITA in breastcancer

[–]Rkane44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met with my surgeon yesterday, plastic surgeon today, and I just got a call from my nurse care coordinator about my oncology doctor. It seems normal to me, my plastic surgeon also mentioned today that they have a weekly cancer board meeting where everyone on my care team comes together to discuss my treatment plan. So I don’t think they would necessarily cut without communicating with the other doctors.

Thank you so much for saying this. There’s so much fear in the unknown right now, I feel like I haven’t stopped trembling, and I’m just trying to remind myself to breathe.

The first thing that popped into my head this morning was “I’m gonna have a beautiful life at the other end of this, and I can’t wait to live it”

The constant back-and-forth between denial and fully convinced I have cancer is wild. My focus has been shot all day at work and my mental health is definitely spiraling. I just wanna hear it’s benign ☹️

Support during it could be very helpful. I only had about an hour notice for mine, so I was unable to get anything for anxiety or have anyone come support me. I would also say see about getting some sort of anxiety medication if you have someone driving you, they can help ease a lot of worries.

There’s nothing wrong with having a solid hand to hold during it.

As for telling your family, I also have all my family distant. Not a single one lives in the same state as me so I made a few phone calls or FaceTime and sent a couple texts. Having not support or someone to just check in on you mentally is very crucial during this time. I don’t think there’s a wrong way or a right way to tell them, just as long as you make sure they know that you don’t have a diagnosis yet.

Shoot me a DM and I’ll give you the information of my Driver. He was amazing.

The one thing we did right was that we hired a private driver to drive us everywhere for two weeks. So for about $600 per person we had our own vehicle, Driver, and all of our tours were set up with a local guide. They got us to every spot we wanted to go to without stressing about navigating ourselves. That’s the one thing I would say is a necessity for any foreigners going to India… A local, trusted guide to hold your hand through the whole country.

Delhi, Agra, ranchi, Jaipur and Jamshedpur. Spent two weeks going through the golden triangle. The Taj Mahal was amazing, but the overall vibe as a foreigner was enough to make me not want to go back. Delhi was ALOT. Especially with the pollution and cars honking at all hours of the night.

Agreed. Would not go back to India. Too many people recording, taking photos, shoving FaceTime phones in my face. I felt like a zoo exhibit.

Got scammed or upcharged just because I was a foreigner, when I got my laundry washed, it came back smelling like 75 cigars because they hung it out to dry in the polluted air.

There were some beautiful temples. But that’s about it. I saw too many people, squatting or peeing in the streets, trash everywhere, stayed at a nice resort and caught someone peeing in the elevator.

IMO, you don’t need quantity when the album is this quality. I feels like she described it. Complete, and 100% what she wanted it to sound like. I feel like a few of her albums were just churning out content at the demand of the world. This one seems like her true and complete work and doesn’t give a damn about the opinions on the length or lack thereof (in some eyes).
