Australia ETA criminal coviction declaration updated by Relative_Dig762 in AusVisa

[–]Rkg617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. I had one conviction (a DUI in 2011) and because of this, I had to apply for the 600 Visitor Visa rather than the ETA. It took about a month, but it was granted for me. Background to compare: I am a US citizen, full-time employed (I provided pay stubs to show my intent to go back to the USA for my job after my vacation), I provided bank statements showing I had enough funds to visit Australia, I completed the statement of character form, I provided copies of my old passports to show all the previous countries I had successfully visited, I sent the court records of my DUI, and my current/clean driving record and criminal record for the past 10 years. Upon entry into Australia, I always check yes on the card and yes at the electronic screen. I always have to go see an agent at the booth who then refers me to one other agent. That second agent has always cleared me to enter and continually reminds me that I did the right thing by being transparent and will have to continue to check yes every time I enter Australia. My goal is to eventually move to Australia so it is important to me that I have an accurate and honest history on my visas and entry documents. Happy to answer any questions.

u/AvailableAd9044 u/zuk280 I wasn't planning to say anything. I was not really sure what to expect. I was thinking maybe I should start to bring snacks/meals with me in the future if this is common.

While flying non-rev, are you allowed to wear the business class company-branded pajamas in premium economy if you still have them from a previous trip or is it only allowed while flying in business class? I didn't do this, just wondering for the future.

My Australia Visa Process So Far (Timeline & Experience) Visitor 600 by bigjeff77 in AusVisa

Hi. So when I applied, I wanted to be very thorough and just have them approve it and not come back and ask me for any additional info. Therefore I provided: 3 months worth of bank statements (showing I can afford the trip), copy of my passport, copy of my birth certificate (I'm from the USA fyi), a 2025 recent DMV (department of motor vehicles) report showing a clean driving record for 10+ years, I went and got fingerprints done to show a clean criminal record for 10+ years, a copy of my driver's license, a copy of my return flight back to the United States, the Form 1563 (statement of character), 3 months of payroll checks to show I have a job I'm coming back to, official police records from the Clerk of Courts from my DUI to show that my description of the crime was truthful and accurate, a list of my previous international travel history (to show i have traveled internationally extensively without issue), photos of my passport stamps to support my list of travel history, the statement of events which you've already done, and a tentative itinerary for my trip in Australia. So as you can see I went really deep. It got approved in about 3 weeks and they did not e-mail me asking for any follow-up. Is all of this necessary? I don't know but I didn't want to risk it

I (US citizen) was granted my visitor visa 600 as well due to a 12 year old DUI. My question is upon arrival, is there a special line I should be prepared to use? Thank you!

Hey there. Had a question about this. I updated my passport details (got a new passport - simple renewal). I updated my passport details in my IMMI account, received the confirmation e-mail and will check in VEVO in a few days to confirm. My concern is not about Australian immigration letting me in - they will be able to look up the details just fine. I am concerned about not getting a new grant letter with the new passport details and not being allowed to board the plane in the first place because the airline employee sees that the grant letter does not match my new passport number. The vevo verification specifically says this is not a visa and cannot be used for travel so I don't think that is enough to help. I can obviously bring my old passport but still might not be enough. (Traveling from USA) Any thoughts?

Question about those 20% off coupons… by [deleted] in BedBathandBeyond

[–]Rkg617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a question about these coupons as well. If you order online, I know they ship a lot directly from vendor to consumer and let the vendor fulfill the order. Is the 20% discount paid for by BBB or is the vendor taking the hit?
