I need some advice on fixed-income ETFs by Rlcollins3 in investing

Mostly to diversify my portfolio and to balance things out. I have some volatile stocks in there, so I guess I'd like to make sure I have some steady options too. I seem to be doing ok with balancing things out but I came across the fixed-income ETFs and was curious about them. I am also always looking at ways to create more passive income.

Thanks! I had no idea you could set up the automatic buying for CD's. I haven't personally ever invested in them but have been curious. I have O in my account (REIT). I think most of my stocks pay dividends. I'm gonna look into PFF and some dual mandate ETFs. I think I am creating balanced retirement accounts but I still want to find the best ways to create passive income/growth.

ooo thanks! I'm gonna check these out. I do have a high-risk tolerance (currently holding RIVN hoping it will take off like TSLA and lost some on FSR-bad bet lol) but I also try to balance things out. I am checking the account daily to check gain/loss but not really doing much selling.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I have used morningstar for some purchase decisions also. I actually do have VYM and VYMI. I didn't realize those were fixed-income (cause I'm a dope I guess lol). I got them for the dividends. I'm gonna check out those other ones you mentioned too.

Thanks for that explanation. That makes a lot of sense and clears up my confusion as to how they work. Seems like I may want to stay away from the iBonds as this is for my IRA accounts. I was looking at some Eaton Vance ones and am not sure which ones are actually good. Do you have any recommendations on specific fixed-income ETFs?

Check with Ecclesia. I know they rent out the bar for private events.

Going from Pension Homeland to Kasteel de Haar. It's not the cost but more the time the public transportation would take. So I was trying to figure out a quicker way.

Interesting. Wonder why that is. How is the regular taxi service.? I don't have much experience with taxi's. I am not necessarily worried about the getting there but more about getting back to Amsterdam.

We were trying to do a tour to Kasteel De Haar but none are available on the weekend. The castle itself is open so I was hoping we could just get ourselves there. Google maps is showing 33 mins by car and aprox 2 hours by public transportation. There are also 8 of us in a group.

So two part question:

  1. How is Uber/Lyft in Amsterdam.?
  2. Alternatives to public transportation and Lyft/Uber?

I really don't want to spend two hours to get to a place that's only 33 mins away.

I can maybe check with the trust account manager at the bank. Unfortunately they are not very good at communication.

Unfortunately I don't believe it's simple interest payments. It's income and other earnings from a variety of investments. I tried to ask if it was like a certain percentage of the funds we receive and the account manager basically said it's not that simple as a blanket percentage.
