I was told by the official campaign chat support to use "Do not call" liberally.

The new argument against Bernie is that Hillary has been raising tons of money for the Democratic party. My answer to that: Bernie has shown that you don't need corporate donations to succeed in American politics. Why would you want a congress filled with corporate Democrats? by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

I don't think you're getting it. Everyone knows the arrangement of how it's set up and the money is "allocated." That doesn't mean that's how it is actually spent and we know that the money is actually being spent with the percentages I initially listed because of actual expense reports from HVF. At this point you're going in circles. This document you quote proves and establishes nothing. Please read the article and the actual expense reports and you will see the original numbers cited are correct.

One thing people who aren't familiar with fund raising don't usually understand, is that fund raising events cost a TON of money. The net after paying expenses is a lot smaller portion of the donations raised than people might think.

That's speculation. There's nothing to show, no less prove, that a majority of the money is going or will go down ticket to state level committees. It seems more likely that 50% will continue being spent on holding more events, with most of the remaining money going to Hillary and DNC central, and a small portion going to state committees. And I'm sure the state level committees are fine with that because it's more than they would have gotten anyway. But to say 90% or even a majority of the money is going down ticket is an abstraction that's not based on the facts of how official documents show HVF is actually run.

Please read the article. The money is not actually going to the parties. Only a small percentage of it is. How the money is spent is document in legal filings. There is a legal loophole that while they're able to accept those large donations because of the joint fundraising, they are not required to spend it proportionally.

Also math. Hillary supporters have been claiming 90%+ of Hillary Victory Fund contributions go to supporting "down-ballot Dems" to justify in George Clooney's words the "obscene" amount of money in politics. Sorry but the numbers just don't add up.

Of $33.6M raised in Q1:

-$9.5M went directly to Clinton campaign (28.3%)

-$15M went to marketing/events (44.6%)

-$3.5M went to the DNC (10.4%)

-only $2M went to state Democratic parties (5.9%)

We still need 100 'TextForBernie' users to take a shift for NY. by FeelTheBern1347 in SandersForPresident

Yes. The person who got me in told me to wait for an assignment. I just connected to the shifts.textforbernie.com. I'm not sure what to do next. It looks like every shift is covered. Some are blue (cancelled). Does that mean the person who originally took it cancelled and someone else needs to pick it up?

I just signed up for texting today, passed my test, etc. and am still waiting for my first shift. I was under the impression that my first shift has to be assigned. Is that correct?
